أعلن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، اليوم (السبت)، إن بلاده ترغب في حل الأزمة في أوكرانيا بالوسائل السلمية، مشيراً إلى أن زيارته إلى ألاسكا كانت مفيدة للغاية، وجاءت في الوقت المناسب.
وقال بوتين، خلال اجتماع في الكرملين بشأن نتائج قمته مع نظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في ألاسكا: «روسيا تحترم الموقف الأمريكي وترغب أيضاً في حل الأزمة في أوكرانيا بالوسائل السلمية»، واصفاً المحادثات مع ترمب بأنها كانت بنّاءة واتسمت بالصدق.
وأوضح أن روسيا والولايات المتحدة تدركان أن حوارهما سيواجه معارضة من قبل العديد من القوى، ولكن الإرادة موجودة. مشيراً إلى أن «الشيء الرئيسي هو أن هناك إرادة، بالطبع، ستعارض العديد من القوى الحوار، ومن المهم العمل بشكل منهجي».
وأطلع الرئيس الروسي قيادة الإدارة الرئاسية والحكومة ومجلس الدوما والوزارات والهيئات المعنية على نتائج الاجتماع في أنكوريج، موضحاً أن القضاء على الأسباب الجذرية للأزمة في أوكرانيا ينبغي أن يكون أساساً للتسوية.
وأوضح الرئيس الروسي أنه ناقش، خلال محادثاته في ألاسكا مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، إمكانية التوصل إلى حل عادل للأزمة الأوكرانية قائلاً: «ناقشنا جميع جوانب تفاعلنا تقريباً، ولكن قبل كل شيء، بالطبع، تحدثنا عن إمكانية التوصل إلى حل عادل للأزمة الأوكرانية».
ولفت إلى أنه لم يُجرِ مفاوضات مباشرة من هذا النوع على هذا المستوى منذ فترة طويلة، مشدداً بالقول: أكرر مرة أخرى، أتيحت لنا الفرصة لتوضيح موقفنا بهدوء ودقة مرة أخرى.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد قال في وقت سابق اليوم، إن اللقاء الذي جرى مع نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين في ولاية ألاسكا كان ناجحاً للغاية.
وشدّد ترمب على أن الجميع متفق على أن أفضل سبيل لإنهاء الحرب بين روسيا وأوكرانيا هو التوجّه مباشرة لاتفاقية سلام تنهي الحرب عوضاً عن اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار قد لا يصمد طويلاً في بعض الأحيان.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today (Saturday) that his country wishes to resolve the crisis in Ukraine through peaceful means, noting that his visit to Alaska was very beneficial and came at the right time.
Putin stated during a meeting in the Kremlin regarding the outcomes of his summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska: “Russia respects the American position and also wishes to resolve the crisis in Ukraine through peaceful means,” describing the discussions with Trump as constructive and characterized by sincerity.
He explained that Russia and the United States recognize that their dialogue will face opposition from many forces, but the will is present. He pointed out that “the main thing is that there is a will; of course, many forces will oppose the dialogue, and it is important to work systematically.”
The Russian president informed the leadership of the presidential administration, the government, the State Duma, and the relevant ministries and agencies about the results of the meeting in Anchorage, clarifying that eliminating the root causes of the crisis in Ukraine should be the basis for a settlement.
The Russian president clarified that he discussed, during his talks in Alaska with U.S. President Donald Trump, the possibility of reaching a fair solution to the Ukrainian crisis, saying: “We discussed almost all aspects of our interaction, but first and foremost, of course, we talked about the possibility of reaching a fair solution to the Ukrainian crisis.”
He noted that he had not conducted direct negotiations of this kind at this level for a long time, emphasizing by saying: I repeat once again, we had the opportunity to clarify our position calmly and accurately once again.
Earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Alaska was very successful.
Trump emphasized that everyone agrees that the best way to end the war between Russia and Ukraine is to directly approach a peace agreement that ends the war rather than a ceasefire agreement that may not hold for long at times.
