بعد لقاء استمر لمدة ساعتين و45 دقيقة في «قمة تاريخية»، عقدت أمس (الجمعة)، بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في ألاسكا، أعلن بوتين، في مؤتمر صحافي مشترك مع ترمب، أن المحادثات مع ترمب في ألاسكا تؤسس لتطبيع العلاقات مع واشنطن، مبيناً أن اللقاء تم في أجواء من الاحترام المتبادل.
وصرح بوتين بأن المحادثات القادمة ستعقد في موسكو، وذلك عقب «القمة التاريخية» التي جمعت الزعيمين في ألاسكا.
كما أضاف بوتين: «أسسنا اتصالات مباشرة جيدة للغاية مع ترمب»، مؤكداً ضرورة «تخطي مرحلة المواجهة مع أمريكا إلى الحوار».
وقال بوتين خلال كلمته في قمة ألاسكا إنه لم تُعقد أي قمم بين البلدين منذ عدة سنوات، وإن العلاقات الثنائية تراجعت إلى أدنى مستوى لها منذ الحرب الباردة.
وأشار بوتين إلى التوصل لـ«تفاهم» مع ترمب خلال قمتهما في ألاسكا، قائلاً إنه قد يجلب السلام إلى أوكرانيا، لكنه لم يقدم أي تفاصيل إضافية.
وأوضح الرئيس الروسي أن التسوية في أوكرانيا يجب أن تكون طويلة الأمد، مشيراً إلى أنه شرح للرئيس الأمريكي الرؤية الروسية بشأن الأزمة مع كييف.
وأضاف بوتين: «أتفق مع ترمب على ضرورة ضمان أمن أوكرانيا لكن مع تلبية مطالبنا»، مبيناً أن هناك رغبة حقيقية من الرئيس الأمريكي لحل النزاع مع كييف.
وتابع بوتين: «مهتمون بكل صدق بإنهاء الأزمة مع كييف»، مضيفاً: «على أوكرانيا وأوروبا عدم عرقلة التقدم المحرز عبر الاستفزازات والمؤامرات».
من جانبه، قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إنه لم يتوصل مع نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين إلى اتفاق بشأن القضية «الأهم على الأرجح» في اجتماعهما، لكن هناك فرصة جيدة للغاية لتحقيق ذلك، واصفاً اجتماعه مع بوتين بأنه مثمر جداً.
وقال ترمب: «حققنا تقدماً كبيراً اليوم مع روسيا، ولطالما كانت علاقتي مع بوتين رائعة». وتابع ترمب: «اتفقنا بشأن الكثير من النقاط. هناك بعض النقاط القليلة الباقية فحسب. بعضها ليس بالأهمية الكبيرة. لكن لدينا فرصة جيدة للغاية للتوصل لاتفاق»
كما صرح ترمب في كلمة مختصرة في المؤتمر الصحافي: «نريد أن نتجاوز الخلافات مع روسيا وفي طريقنا لحل معظم القضايا». وأضاف ترمب: «سأطلع الرئيس الأوكراني زيلينسكي والقادة الأوروبيين على نتائج اجتماع ألاسكا».
وأشار ترمب إلى أن بوتين يريد أن تنتهي الحرب مع أوكرانيا ووقف إسالة الدماء. وفي نهاية المؤتمر الصحافي، خاطب ترمب بوتين بالقول: «سأتواصل معك مرة ثانية قريباً». ليرد بوتين بالقول: «المحادثات القادمة في موسكو».
وأعلن الكرملين أن المحادثات بين الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين ونظيره الأمريكي دونالد ترمب في ألاسكا قد انتهت. وأنها سارت على نحو جيد للغاية.
كما صرح وزير الدفاع الروسي أندريه بيلاوسوف، عقب اجتماع ترمب وبوتين، أن الأجواء ممتازة.
من جهة أخرى، قال السفير الروسي في واشنطن ألكسندر دارشييف إن محادثات ترمب وبوتين كانت عملية وتهدف لتحقيق نتائج، مشيراً إلى أن استعادة الحركة الجوية بين البلدين ضمن المناقشات بين موسكو وواشنطن. ويجري إعداد كافة الوثائق لاستعادة الرحلات الجوية والأمر قيد المناقشة.
ووصف البيت الأبيض، القمة بين ترمب وبوتين، بأنها تاريخية، فيما ذكرت وكالة «تاس» الروسية أن لقاء الزعيمين يؤسس لنهاية عزلة روسيا عن الغرب.
After a meeting that lasted for two hours and 45 minutes in a "historic summit" held yesterday (Friday) between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska, Putin announced at a joint press conference with Trump that the talks in Alaska lay the groundwork for normalizing relations with Washington, indicating that the meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
Putin stated that the upcoming talks will be held in Moscow, following the "historic summit" that brought the two leaders together in Alaska.
He also added, "We have established very good direct communications with Trump," emphasizing the need to "move beyond the confrontation phase with America to dialogue."
During his speech at the Alaska summit, Putin noted that no summits had been held between the two countries for several years, and that bilateral relations had declined to their lowest level since the Cold War.
Putin pointed to reaching a "mutual understanding" with Trump during their summit in Alaska, saying it could bring peace to Ukraine, but he did not provide any additional details.
The Russian president clarified that the settlement in Ukraine should be long-term, indicating that he explained the Russian vision regarding the crisis with Kyiv to the American president.
Putin added, "I agree with Trump on the necessity of ensuring Ukraine's security, but with our demands being met," indicating that there is a genuine desire from the American president to resolve the conflict with Kyiv.
He continued, "We are sincerely interested in ending the crisis with Kyiv," adding, "Ukraine and Europe should not hinder the progress made through provocations and conspiracies."
For his part, American President Donald Trump stated that he and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin did not reach an agreement on what is "probably the most important issue" in their meeting, but there is a very good chance of achieving that, describing his meeting with Putin as very productive.
Trump said, "We made significant progress today with Russia, and my relationship with Putin has always been great." He continued, "We agreed on many points. There are just a few remaining points. Some are not of great importance. But we have a very good chance of reaching an agreement."
Trump also stated in a brief speech at the press conference, "We want to move beyond the disagreements with Russia and are on our way to resolving most of the issues." He added, "I will inform Ukrainian President Zelensky and European leaders about the results of the Alaska meeting."
Trump indicated that Putin wants the war with Ukraine to end and the bloodshed to stop. At the end of the press conference, Trump addressed Putin by saying, "I will be in touch with you again soon." To which Putin responded, "The next talks will be in Moscow."
The Kremlin announced that the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American President Donald Trump in Alaska had concluded and that they went very well.
Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov stated after the Trump-Putin meeting that the atmosphere was excellent.
On another note, Russian Ambassador to Washington Alexander Darchiev said that the Trump-Putin talks were practical and aimed at achieving results, noting that the restoration of air traffic between the two countries is among the discussions between Moscow and Washington. All documents are being prepared to restore flights, and the matter is under discussion.
The White House described the summit between Trump and Putin as historic, while the Russian news agency "TASS" reported that the meeting of the two leaders lays the foundation for the end of Russia's isolation from the West.
