القمة قد تفتح الباب أمام لقاء ثانٍ يضم الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، في ظل تمسك باريس بمشاركة أوكرانيا في أي مفاوضات سلام، وإصرار برلين على رفض أي تغيير للحدود بالقوة. وفي المقابل، شدد ترمب على أن مصير الأراضي الأوكرانية يقرره زيلينسكي نفسه، في إشارة إلى أن القرار النهائي لن يُفرض من الخارج، بينما تبدي موسكو تمسكها بشروط بوتين لوقف إطلاق النار.
من جانبها، ترفض كييف أي انسحاب من أراضيها أو التخلي عن حقها في الانضمام إلى الناتو، معتبرة أن أي تسوية يجب أن تراعي سيادتها الكاملة. وبينما تتباين مواقف الأطراف، يرى مراقبون أن قمة ألاسكا قد تكون محطة مفصلية إما لفتح نافذة أمل نحو السلام أو للدفع بالأزمة إلى مرحلة أكثر تعقيداً.

The summit may open the door for a second meeting that includes Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, amid Paris's insistence on Ukraine's participation in any peace negotiations and Berlin's determination to reject any change of borders by force. In contrast, Trump emphasized that the fate of Ukrainian territories is determined by Zelensky himself, indicating that the final decision will not be imposed from abroad, while Moscow maintains its adherence to Putin's conditions for a ceasefire.
For its part, Kyiv rejects any withdrawal from its territories or giving up its right to join NATO, considering that any settlement must respect its full sovereignty. While the positions of the parties vary, observers believe that the Alaska summit could be a pivotal moment either to open a window of hope for peace or to push the crisis into a more complicated phase.
