أكد الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون اليوم (الخميس) أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، استبعد بشكل واضح انضمام كييف إلى حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو)، وهو ما يمثل عقبة رئيسية أمام أي اتفاق سلام مع موسكو.
وقال ماكرون: ترمب أبدى استعداداً، خلال محادثاته مع قادة أوروبيين، أمس أن تكون الولايات المتحدة وحلفاؤها جزءاً من منح أوكرانيا ضمانات أمنية لإنهاء الحرب مع روسيا.
واتفق الرئيس الأمريكي مع القادة الأوروبيين على 5 خطوط حمراء بشأن أوكرانيا أبرزها التشديد على ضرورة وقف إطلاق النار كشرط مسبق قبل إجراء مزيد من المحادثات حول مواضيع أكثر تفصيلاً.
وذكرت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» أن الأوروبيين شددوا على رفض أي نقاش بشأن التنازل عن أراض أوكرانية من دون حضور الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، مبيناً أنه لا اعتراف قانونيا من أوروبا بسيطرة روسيا على أراضٍ أوكرانية في المرحلة الحالية، مؤكدين على ضرورة وجوب قبول روسيا الضمانات الأمنية الغربية لأوكرانيا، فضلا عن ضمان المصالح الأمنية الأساسية لأوكرانيا وأوروبا.
بالمقابل، أفاد مصدر أمريكي مطلع، الرئيس الأمريكي شدد على منح أوكرانيا ضمانات أمنية بشكل مشترك مع أوروبا مع استبعاد انضمامها لحلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو).
وكان ترمب قد أكد أمس أنه يرغب في تنظيم لقاء بينه وبين نظيريه الروسي والأوكراني مباشرة تقريبا بعد قمته مع بوتين في ألاسكا، بهدف وضع حد للحرب في أوكرانيا.
ويبحث الرئيسان الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، والأمريكي دونالد ترمب في قمتهما المرتقبة، (الجمعة)، في ولاية ألاسكا، تسوية النزاع في أوكرانيا والأمن في العالم، بحسب ما أفاد مسؤول في الكرملين اليوم.
وقال المستشار الدبلوماسي لبوتين يوري أوشاكوف للصحفيين، إن جدول الأعمال سيتمحور بالدرجة الأولى على تسوية الأزمة الأوكرانية، إضافة إلى السلام والأمن والقضايا الدولية المهمة والتعاون الثنائي.
وأشار إلى أن اللقاء سيبدأ نحو الساعة 11,30 (19,30 بتوقيت غرينيتش)، ويعقبه مؤتمر صحفي مشترك للرئيسين.
في غضون ذلك، قال مصدر مطلع إن المبعوث الروسي الخاص كيريل دميترييف سيشارك في قمة ألاسكا بين الرئيسين الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed today (Thursday) that U.S. President Donald Trump has clearly ruled out Kyiv's accession to NATO, which represents a major obstacle to any peace agreement with Moscow.
Macron stated that Trump expressed a willingness, during his discussions with European leaders yesterday, for the United States and its allies to be part of providing Ukraine with security guarantees to end the war with Russia.
The U.S. president agreed with European leaders on five red lines regarding Ukraine, the most notable being the emphasis on the necessity of a ceasefire as a prerequisite before further discussions on more detailed topics.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Europeans stressed their rejection of any discussion regarding the concession of Ukrainian territories without the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, indicating that there is no legal recognition from Europe of Russia's control over Ukrainian territories at this stage, affirming the need for Russia to accept Western security guarantees for Ukraine, as well as ensuring the fundamental security interests of both Ukraine and Europe.
In contrast, a knowledgeable American source stated that the U.S. president emphasized providing Ukraine with security guarantees jointly with Europe while excluding its accession to NATO.
Trump had confirmed yesterday that he wishes to organize a meeting between himself and his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts almost directly after his summit with Putin in Alaska, with the aim of putting an end to the war in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will discuss the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and global security at their upcoming summit (Friday) in Alaska, according to a Kremlin official today.
Putin's diplomatic advisor Yuri Ushakov told reporters that the agenda will primarily focus on resolving the Ukrainian crisis, in addition to peace, security, important international issues, and bilateral cooperation.
He noted that the meeting will begin around 11:30 AM (7:30 PM GMT), followed by a joint press conference for the two presidents.
Meanwhile, a knowledgeable source stated that Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev will participate in the Alaska summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump.
