وسط تحركات لعقد لقاءات بين القادة الفلسطينيين، التقى وفد حركة حماس في القاهرة، اليوم (الأربعاء)، رئيس المخابرات العامة المصرية، لبحث سبل دفع جهود مفاوضات التهدئة في قطاع غزة.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام مصرية أن مصدراً في الحكومة أكد أن حماس أبدت لرئيس المخابرات المصرية حرصها على سرعة العودة إلى مفاوضات وقف إطلاق النار والتهدئة، مثمنة جهود مصر لإدخال المساعدات إلى غزة. وقال المصدر: مصر تكثف اتصالاتها مع الأطراف كافة للوصول إلى تهدئة، تمهيداً لإنهاء الحرب.
وتجري القاهرة لقاءات تشاورية مع حركة فتح والقيادة الفلسطينية بشأن الوضع في غزة والخيارات الممكنة لتوحيد الموقف الفلسطيني، وبحسب مصادر مصرية فإن القاهرة على تواصل مع السعودية والإمارات والأردن بشأن الوضع في غزة.
من جهة أخرى ندّدت وزارة الخارجية القطرية بتصريحات نتنياهو بشأن ما يسمى رؤية إسرائيل الكبرى، وعدتها امتداداً لنهج الغطرسة.
وأضافت الخارجية القطرية في بيان نشرته وكالة الأنباء القطرية «قنا»: تعرب دولة قطر عن إدانتها واستنكارها لتصريحات رئيس وزراء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بشأن ما يسمى بـ«رؤية إسرائيل الكبرى». وعدتها امتداداً لنهج الاحتلال القائم على الغطرسة، وتأجيج الأزمات والصراعات، والتعدي السافر على سيادة الدول والقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرارات الشرعية الدولية.
وأكدت وزارة الخارجية، في بيان أن الادعاءات الإسرائيلية الزائفة والتصريحات التحريضية العبثية لن تنتقص من الحقوق المشروعة للدول والشعوب العربية، مشددة في هذا السياق على ضرورة تضامن المجتمع الدولي لمواجهة هذه الاستفزازات التي تعرض المنطقة للمزيد من العنف والفوضى.
وجددت الوزارة دعم دولة قطر الكامل لكافة الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق السلام العادل والشامل والمستدام في المنطقة، وتوطيد الأمن والاستقرار إقليمياً ودولياً.
من جانب آخر، قال جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي إن رئيس الأركان إيال زامير صادق اليوم على الفكرة المركزية لخطة الهجوم في غزة، وذلك خلال اجتماع بمشاركة منتدى هيئة الأركان العامة وقادة من الشاباك (جهاز الأمن الداخلي) وأجهزة أخرى.
Amid moves to hold meetings between Palestinian leaders, a delegation from Hamas met today (Wednesday) in Cairo with the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence to discuss ways to advance efforts for a ceasefire negotiation in the Gaza Strip.
Egyptian media reported that a source in the government confirmed that Hamas expressed to the Egyptian intelligence chief its eagerness to quickly return to negotiations for a ceasefire and de-escalation, appreciating Egypt's efforts to deliver aid to Gaza. The source stated: Egypt is intensifying its communications with all parties to reach a ceasefire, paving the way for the end of the war.
Cairo is holding consultative meetings with Fatah and the Palestinian leadership regarding the situation in Gaza and possible options to unify the Palestinian stance. According to Egyptian sources, Cairo is in contact with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan regarding the situation in Gaza.
On another note, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Netanyahu's statements regarding what is called the Greater Israel vision, considering it an extension of the arrogance approach.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry added in a statement published by the Qatar News Agency (QNA): The State of Qatar expresses its condemnation and denunciation of the statements made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation regarding what is known as the "Greater Israel vision." It considers them an extension of the occupation's approach based on arrogance, exacerbating crises and conflicts, and gross violations of the sovereignty of states, international law, the United Nations Charter, and international legitimacy resolutions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement that the false Israeli claims and absurd incitement statements will not diminish the legitimate rights of Arab states and peoples, emphasizing in this context the necessity of international solidarity to confront these provocations that expose the region to more violence and chaos.
The ministry reiterated the full support of the State of Qatar for all efforts aimed at achieving just, comprehensive, and sustainable peace in the region, and strengthening security and stability both regionally and internationally.
On another front, the Israeli occupation army stated that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir approved today the central idea of the attack plan in Gaza during a meeting that included the General Staff Forum and leaders from the Shin Bet (internal security service) and other agencies.
