تعهد وزير الخارجية السوري أسعد الشيباني، اليوم (الثلاثاء) بمحاسبة كل من ارتكب انتهاكات بالسويداء من أي طرف، مؤكداً أن الدروز جزء أصيل من سورية، ولهم مكانتهم التاريخية والوطنية.
وقال الشيباني: نرفض بشكل قاطع إقصاء الدروز أو تهميشهم، مبيناً أن الحكومة السورية على استعداد دائم لإرسال المساعدات للسويداء ودعم المبادرات التي تهدف إلى إعادة الخدمات، وتعزيز المصالحة، وردم الفجوة مع الدولة.
وكتب الشيباني عقب حضوره اجتماعاً أردنياً سورياً أمريكياً مشتركاً على حسابه في «إكس»: «نؤكد التزامنا بحماية أهلنا في السويداء من جميع المكونات، الدروز والبدو والمسيحيين، ونشدد على ضرورة التصدي الحازم لأي خطاب طائفي أو تحريضي صادر عن أي جهة كانت». وأوضح وزير الخارجية السوري أن المساءلة هي الطريق الأمثل نحو دولة القانون والعدالة، مشدداً بالقول: نؤمن بأن مستقبل سورية يُبنى فقط بالحوار والعدالة واحترام التعددية والمصالحة الوطنية الشاملة لجميع السوريين دون تمييز.
وكان الأردن قد استضاف اليوم اجتماعاً أردنياً سورياً أمريكياً مشتركاً، لبحث الأوضاع في سورية، وسبل دعم عملية إعادة بناء سورية على الأسس التي تضمن أمنها واستقرارها وسيادتها ووحدتها وعدم التدخل بشؤونها، وتلبي طموحات شعبها، وتحفظ حقوق كل السوريين.
واتفق وزير الخارجية السوري مع نظيره الأردني أيمن الصفدي والمبعوث الأمريكي الخاص توم براك على تشكيل مجموعة عمل ثلاثية لمساندة الحكومة السورية في جهود تثبيت وقف إطلاق النار في محافظة السويداء التي شهدت أخيراً مواجهات مسلحة.
وأكد المجتمعون قي بيان أن محافظة السويداء بكل مجتمعاتها المحلية جزء أصيل من سورية، محمية ومحفوظة حقوق أبنائها في مسيرة إعادة بناء سورية الجديدة نحو مستقبل منجز آمن لكل مواطني الدولة السورية، وبما يضمن تمثيلهم وإشراكهم في بناء مستقبل سورية.
The Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani, pledged today (Tuesday) to hold accountable anyone who committed violations in Sweida from any side, affirming that the Druze are an integral part of Syria, with their historical and national standing.
Al-Shaibani stated: "We categorically reject the exclusion or marginalization of the Druze," indicating that the Syrian government is always ready to send aid to Sweida and support initiatives aimed at restoring services, enhancing reconciliation, and bridging the gap with the state.
Following his attendance at a joint Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting, Al-Shaibani wrote on his account on "X": "We affirm our commitment to protecting our people in Sweida from all components, the Druze, Bedouins, and Christians, and we emphasize the necessity of firmly confronting any sectarian or inciting rhetoric from any party." The Syrian Foreign Minister clarified that accountability is the best path towards a state of law and justice, stressing: "We believe that the future of Syria can only be built through dialogue, justice, respect for pluralism, and comprehensive national reconciliation for all Syrians without discrimination."
Jordan hosted today a joint Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting to discuss the situation in Syria and ways to support the reconstruction process based on principles that ensure its security, stability, sovereignty, and unity, while meeting the aspirations of its people and preserving the rights of all Syrians.
The Syrian Foreign Minister agreed with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, and the U.S. Special Envoy, Tom Brack, to form a trilateral working group to support the Syrian government in its efforts to stabilize the ceasefire in the Sweida governorate, which has recently witnessed armed confrontations.
The attendees confirmed in a statement that the Sweida governorate, with all its local communities, is an integral part of Syria, with the rights of its citizens protected and preserved in the process of rebuilding a new Syria towards a secure future for all citizens of the Syrian state, ensuring their representation and participation in building the future of Syria.
