فيما أنهى صندوق الثروة السيادي النرويجي جميع العقود مع شركات إدارة الأصول التي تتعامل مع استثماراته في إسرائيل، أعلن وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، اليوم (الإثنين)، استعداد بلاده لدعم أي ترتيبات دولية من شأنها تمكين السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية من بسط سيادتها على الأراضي الفلسطينية.
وقال عبدالعاطي: نجري اتصالات مكثفة مع الشركاء والأطراف المعنية للتحذير من مغبة التصريحات الإسرائيلية غير المسؤولة بشأن احتلال غزة، وندفع في اتجاه استئناف عملية التفاوض. مضيفاً: هناك إمكانية لذلك إذا توافرت الإرادة السياسية للتوصل إلى اتفاق ينهي الحرب ويضمن نفاذ المساعدات وإطلاق سراح الرهائن وخلق أفق سياسي لتجسيد الدولة الفلسطينية.
جاء ذلك في الوقت الذي ذكرت وسائل إعلام عربية أن وفداً من حركة حماس وصل إلى القاهرة لإعادة التنسيق مع الجانب المصري. من جهته، أعلن صندوق الثروة السيادي النرويجي الذي تبلغ قيمته تريليون دولار، اليوم، أنه سينهي جميع العقود مع شركات إدارة الأصول التي تتعامل مع استثماراته في إسرائيل، موضحاً، أنه تخارج من بعض استثماراته في إسرائيل؛ بسبب الوضع في غزة والضفة الغربية.
وكان وزير المالية النرويجي ينس ستولتنبرج، قد قال: يجب على الصندوق عدم الاستثمار في الشركات التي تساهم في احتلال الضفة الغربية والحرب في غزة. مضيفاً: إن إجراءات الصندوق السيادي بشأن الشركات الإسرائيلية خطوة أولى مهمة ونتوقع المزيد من القرارات.
While the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund has terminated all contracts with asset management companies dealing with its investments in Israel, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati announced today (Monday) that his country is ready to support any international arrangements that would enable the Palestinian National Authority to assert its sovereignty over Palestinian territories.
Abdel Aati stated: "We are conducting intensive communications with partners and concerned parties to warn against the repercussions of irresponsible Israeli statements regarding the occupation of Gaza, and we are pushing towards resuming the negotiation process." He added: "There is a possibility for that if the political will exists to reach an agreement that ends the war, ensures the flow of aid, releases hostages, and creates a political horizon for the realization of the Palestinian state."
This comes at a time when Arab media reported that a delegation from Hamas arrived in Cairo to re-coordinate with the Egyptian side. For its part, the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund, valued at one trillion dollars, announced today that it will end all contracts with asset management companies dealing with its investments in Israel, clarifying that it has divested from some of its investments in Israel due to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg had stated: "The fund should not invest in companies that contribute to the occupation of the West Bank and the war in Gaza." He added: "The sovereign fund's actions regarding Israeli companies are an important first step, and we expect more decisions."
