دان وزراء خارجية بريطانيا وألمانيا وإيطاليا وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا بشدة قرار مجلس الوزراء الإسرائيلي شن عملية عسكرية جديدة للسيطرة على مدينة غزة، مؤكدين التزامهم بمسار تفاوضي يفضي إلى تطبيق حل الدولتين.
وحذّر الوزراء في بيان، أمس (الجمعة)، من أن قرار الحكومة الإسرائيلية سيؤدي إلى تفاقم الوضع الإنساني الكارثي، وتعريض حياة المحتجزين الإسرائيليين للخطر، إلى جانب زيادة خطر النزوح الجماعي للمدنيين الفلسطينيين.
ودعا وزراء خارجية الدول الخمس المجتمع الدولي إلى بذل كل الجهود لإنهاء الحرب الإسرائيلية على قطاع غزة، من خلال وقف فوري ودائم لإطلاق النار يُمكّن من تقديم مساعدات إنسانية واسعة النطاق وفورية دون عوائق، في ظل أسوأ سيناريوهات المجاعة التي تلوح في الأفق في غزة.
ووصف الوزراء الوضع الإنساني في قطاع غزة بـ«الكارثي»، ودعوا الحكومة الإسرائيلية إلى إيجاد حلول عاجلة لتعديل نظام تسجيل المنظمات الإنسانية الدولية الذي اعتمدته أخيراً، لضمان استمرار هذه الجهات الفاعلة الحيوية في مجال المساعدات الإنسانية في عملها الأساسي بما يتماشى مع المبادئ الإنسانية للوصول إلى المدنيين المحتاجين في غزة.
وأكد وزراء الخارجية أن الخطط التي أعلنتها الحكومة الإسرائيلية بشأن غزة والضفة الغربية تهدد بانتهاك القانون الدولي الإنساني، مشددين على أن أي محاولة لضم الأراضي أو توسيع المستوطنات تمثل انتهاكاً للقانون الدولي.
وأكد وزراء خارجية هذه الدول التزامهم «بتنفيذ حل الدولتين المتفاوض عليه، باعتباره السبيل الوحيد لضمان عيش كل من الإسرائيليين والفلسطينيين جنباً إلى جنب في سلام وأمن وكرامة».
ووافق مجلس الوزراء الأمني الإسرائيلي، أمس (الجمعة)، على خطة للسيطرة على مدينة غزة، في خطوة ستوسع العمليات العسكرية رغم تزايد الانتقادات لإسرائيل في الداخل والخارج بسبب الحرب المستمرة منذ نحو عامين في القطاع الفلسطيني.
ويجتمع مجلس الأمن الدولي، الأحد، لمناقشة الوضع في الشرق الأوسط بما في ذلك القضية الفلسطينية.
وينعقد الاجتماع المقرر عند الساعة 10 صباحاً (2:00 بعد الظهر بتوقيت غرينتش)، بطلب من أعضاء عدة في مجلس الأمن، في خضم قلق دولي متزايد إزاء الخطة الإسرائيلية.

The foreign ministers of Britain, Germany, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand strongly condemned the Israeli cabinet's decision to launch a new military operation to take control of the city of Gaza, reaffirming their commitment to a negotiated path that leads to the implementation of a two-state solution.
The ministers warned in a statement yesterday (Friday) that the Israeli government's decision will exacerbate the catastrophic humanitarian situation and put the lives of Israeli hostages at risk, alongside increasing the risk of mass displacement of Palestinian civilians.
The foreign ministers of the five countries called on the international community to make every effort to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, through an immediate and permanent ceasefire that enables the provision of wide-ranging and immediate humanitarian assistance without obstacles, in light of the worst famine scenarios looming in Gaza.
The ministers described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as "catastrophic," and urged the Israeli government to find urgent solutions to amend the registration system for international humanitarian organizations that it recently adopted, to ensure that these vital humanitarian actors can continue their essential work in accordance with humanitarian principles to reach civilians in need in Gaza.
The foreign ministers emphasized that the plans announced by the Israeli government regarding Gaza and the West Bank threaten to violate international humanitarian law, stressing that any attempt to annex land or expand settlements constitutes a violation of international law.
The foreign ministers of these countries reaffirmed their commitment "to implementing the negotiated two-state solution as the only way to ensure that both Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace, security, and dignity."
The Israeli security cabinet approved a plan yesterday (Friday) to take control of the city of Gaza, in a move that will expand military operations despite increasing criticism of Israel both domestically and internationally due to the ongoing war in the Palestinian territory for nearly two years.
The United Nations Security Council will meet on Sunday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue.
The scheduled meeting will take place at 10 a.m. (2:00 p.m. GMT), at the request of several members of the Security Council, amid growing international concern regarding the Israeli plan.
