كشفت مصادر مطلعة أن الولايات المتحدة وروسيا تخططان لاتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار في أوكرانيا قبيل قمة مرتقبة بين الرئيسين الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والأمريكي دونالد ترمب، يرجح انعقادها الأسبوع القادم.
ونقلت وكالة «بلومبيرغ» عن المصادر قولها: «إن مسؤولين أمريكيين وروسيين يعملون على التوصل لاتفاق بشأن الأراضي الأوكرانية، ما من شأنه ضمان بقاء روسيا في الأراضي التي تسيطر عليها بحسب شروط بوتين». وأفادت المصادر بأن روسيا ستوقف هجومها في منطقتي خيرسون وزابوريجيا بأوكرانيا في إطار الاتفاق المرتقب.
ووفق ذات المصادر، فإن الولايات المتحدة تسعى للحصول على موافقة أوكرانيا وأوروبا بشأن الاتفاق مع روسيا.
وكانت قناة «فوكس نيوز» الأمريكية نقلت عن مصادر مطلعة قولها: «إن اجتماع بوتين وترمب قد يعقد في 11 أغسطس الجاري». ووفقاً للقناة، فإن العاصمة الإيطالية روما تعتبر مكاناً مقترحاً للقاء. لكن وكالة «تاس» الروسية للأنباء أفادت نقلاً عن مصادرها بأن القمة الروسية الأمريكية لن تعقد في روما.
وأعلنت مصادر روسية، أمس (الخميس)، أن موسكو وواشنطن اتفقتا على عقد اجتماع بين رئيسي الدولتين خلال الأيام القادمة، وأنه سيتم تحديد الموعد الدقيق للقمة بناء على نتائج التحضيرات الجارية بين البلدين. وأعلن الرئيس الروسي أن الاستعدادات جارية لعقد اجتماع مع ترمب، لافتاً إلى وجود مصلحة مشتركة للدولتين في القمة الثنائية.
وكانت الولايات المتحدة ضغطت على روسيا للموافقة أولاً على وقف إطلاق نار غير مشروط لإفساح المجال للمفاوضات بشأن إنهاء الحرب التي دخلت عامها الرابع. وأعلن ترمب قبل توليه الرئاسة أنه قادر على إنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا خلال 24 ساعة من توليه منصبه، وعلى الرغم من إجراء 6 مباحثات هاتفية بين ترمب وبوتين، وزيارة المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف موسكو 5 مرات، لم يتم إحراز أي تقدم في وقف الحرب في أوكرانيا.
