اتهم المكتب الإعلامي الحكومي في غزة اليوم (الخميس) الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بمنع إدخال 6,600 شاحنة إغاثة إلى قطاع غزة المحاصر، مؤكداً أن إغلاق المعابر يقوض عمل المؤسسات الإنساني.
أوضح المكتب في بيان أن 92 شاحنة فقط دخلت أمس إلى غزة وسط فوضى ممنهجة، مبيناً أن ما تم إدخاله إلى القطاع حتى الآن لا يتجاوز 14% من الحصة المفترضة.
وأشار إلى أن قطاع غزة يحتاج لأكثر من 600 شاحنة يوميا لتلبية الحد الأدنى من احتياجات 2.4 مليون شخص، داعياً الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي إلى تحرك جدي لفتح المعابر وضمان تدفق المساعدات.
وأعلنت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية اليوم وفاة 4 أشخاص نتيجة المجاعة وسوء التغذية في قطاع غزة خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية، موضحة أن العدد الإجمالي لضحايا المجاعة وسوء التغذية ارتفع إلى 197 قتيلاً بينهم 96 طفلا.
بدوره، قال رئيس شبكة المنظمات الأهلية في غزة أمجد الشوا في تصريحات صحفية إن 200 ألف طفل في القطاع يعانون من سوء التغذية الحاد، مبيناً أن النساء الحوامل يعيشون ظروفا بالغة القسوة بسبب سوء التغذية.
وأشار إلى عدم توفر حليب الأطفال والمكملات الغذائية وراء وفاة العديد من الأطفال.
من جهة أخرى، اتهمت منظمة هيومن رايتس ووتش اليوم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بقصف أكثر من 500 مدرسة تؤوي نازحين في قطاع غزة منذ بداية الحرب مما أدى إلى مقتل مئات المدنيين، واصفة استهداف المدارس التي تأوي نازحين بـ«غير قانونية بغض النظر عن التبرير».
وأشارت إلى أن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وجه ضربات مزدوجة وعشوائية للمدارس واستهدف طواقم الإسعاف، مبينة أن الاحتلال حرم المدنيين من الوصول الآمن إلى الملاجئ، وعطل الوصول إلى التعليم لسنوات عديدة.
ونقلت المنظمة عن صحيفتين إسرائيليتين قولهما: إن جيش الاحتلال أنشأ خلية قصف خاصة لتحديد المدارس بشكل منهجي، التي يشار إليها باسم «مراكز الثقل»، بهدف قصفها، تحت مزاعم اختباء عناصر وطالبت المنظمة بفرض حظر على توريد الأسلحة إلى الحكومة الإسرائيلية نظرا لخطر استخدامها الواضح لارتكاب أو تسهيل انتهاكات جسيمة للقانون الإنساني الدولي واتخاذ تدابير عاجلة أخرى لتطبيق اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمنع جريمة الإبادة الجماعية والمعاقبة عليها.
The government media office in Gaza today (Thursday) accused the Israeli occupation of preventing the entry of 6,600 relief trucks into the besieged Gaza Strip, confirming that the closure of crossings undermines the work of humanitarian organizations.
The office clarified in a statement that only 92 trucks entered Gaza yesterday amid systematic chaos, indicating that what has been brought into the sector so far does not exceed 14% of the expected quota.
It pointed out that the Gaza Strip needs more than 600 trucks daily to meet the minimum needs of 2.4 million people, calling on the United Nations and the international community to take serious action to open the crossings and ensure the flow of aid.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today the death of 4 individuals due to famine and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, explaining that the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 197, including 96 children.
For his part, the head of the network of civil organizations in Gaza, Amjad Al-Shawa, stated in press remarks that 200,000 children in the sector are suffering from acute malnutrition, indicating that pregnant women are living in extremely harsh conditions due to malnutrition.
He pointed out that the lack of baby formula and nutritional supplements is behind the deaths of many children.
On another note, Human Rights Watch accused the Israeli occupation army today of bombing more than 500 schools housing displaced persons in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of civilians, describing the targeting of schools housing displaced persons as "illegal regardless of justification."
It noted that the Israeli occupation army carried out double and random strikes on schools and targeted ambulance crews, indicating that the occupation has deprived civilians of safe access to shelters and disrupted access to education for many years.
The organization quoted two Israeli newspapers stating that the occupation army has established a special bombing cell to systematically identify schools referred to as "centers of gravity," with the aim of bombing them, under the pretext of hiding elements. The organization called for a ban on the supply of weapons to the Israeli government due to the clear risk of their use to commit or facilitate serious violations of international humanitarian law and to take other urgent measures to implement the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
