اتهمت منظمة رايتس رادار لحقوق الإنسان، اليوم (الأربعاء)، الحوثي باختطاف أكثر من 480 شخصاً منهم 7 نساء و51 طفلاً خلال عامين ونصف في محافظة إب التي يسيطرون عليها، مؤكدة أن إب أصبحت أكثر تضرراً من حملات الاختطافات الحوثية خلال العامين الماضيين.
وأوضحت المنظمة، التي تتخذ من هولندا مقراً لها، إن الحملات الحوثية استهدفت عشرات القرى والمناطق والأحياء السكنية في عموم محافظة إب، إضافة لدوريات الملاحقات الروتينية ضد من يصنّفهم الحوثيون بالمعارضين لهم في كل مكان يقع تحت سيطرتهم، مشيرة إلى أن فئات المعلمين وطلاب الجامعات والناشطين الإعلاميين والسياسيين وحتى ناشطين في المجال المجتمعي والإنساني الأكثر تضرراً.
وذكرت المنظمة أن الحوثي بدأ حملته على المدنيين في محافظة إب في سبتمبر عام 2023 حين اختطف أكثر من 95 شخصاً بينهم 11 طفلاً و6 نساء، ولحقها حملة أخرى أكثر شراسة في سبتمبر 2024 واختطف خلالها 250 شخصاً منهم 24 طفلاً، وتكررت الحملات في مايو الماضي وحتى منتصف يوليو طالت 48 مدنياً، معظمهم أكاديميين ومن ذوي المؤهلات العلمية العليا من مختلف التخصصات، وشخصيات اجتماعية وتربوية ومعلمين وطلبة وموظفين.
وقالت المنظمة أغلب سكان محافظة إب باتوا يعتبرون أنفسهم رهائن عند الحوثي، ويشعرون أنهم معرّضون للانتهاك في أي لحظة، في حال رفضهم لسلوكيات وسياسات الحوثي، مبينة أن عدد من الجامعات الخاصة والعامة تعرضت للاقتحامات الحوثية واختطف أكاديميون من داخلها.
وحمّلت المنظمة الحوثي المسؤولية الكاملة عن حياة المختطفين وما يتعرضون له من أضرار جسدية ومعنوية في السجون، داعية المبعوث الأممي هانس غروندبرغ إلى اتخاذ إجراءات من شأنها حماية المعتقلين في سجون الحوثي وضمان عدم ارتكاب أية انتهاكات ضد المدنيين.
The Rights Radar Organization for Human Rights accused the Houthis today (Wednesday) of kidnapping more than 480 individuals, including 7 women and 51 children, over a period of two and a half years in the governorate of Ibb, which they control. It confirmed that Ibb has become more affected by Houthi kidnapping campaigns over the past two years.
The organization, based in the Netherlands, explained that the Houthi campaigns targeted dozens of villages, areas, and residential neighborhoods throughout the Ibb governorate, in addition to routine pursuit patrols against those classified by the Houthis as opponents in every area under their control. It noted that teachers, university students, media activists, politicians, and even community and humanitarian activists have been the most affected groups.
The organization mentioned that the Houthis began their campaign against civilians in Ibb governorate in September 2023 when they kidnapped more than 95 people, including 11 children and 6 women. This was followed by another more aggressive campaign in September 2024, during which 250 individuals were kidnapped, including 24 children. The campaigns were repeated in May of last year and continued until mid-July, targeting 48 civilians, most of whom were academics and holders of higher scientific qualifications from various disciplines, as well as social and educational figures, teachers, students, and employees.
The organization stated that most residents of Ibb governorate now consider themselves hostages of the Houthis and feel that they are at risk of violation at any moment if they refuse the Houthis' behaviors and policies. It indicated that several private and public universities have been subjected to Houthi incursions, and academics have been kidnapped from within them.
The organization held the Houthis fully responsible for the lives of the kidnapped individuals and the physical and moral harm they endure in prisons, calling on the UN envoy Hans Grundberg to take measures to protect detainees in Houthi prisons and ensure that no violations against civilians are committed.
