In the context of legal actions against associations linked to the "Muslim Brotherhood" organization, Jordanian authorities referred a cybersecurity company associated with the banned group that did not disclose its real beneficiary, thus violating the law, in addition to committing other violations, to the public prosecutor.
A source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today (Saturday) that the Companies Control Department contacted the State Attorney to work on the compulsory liquidation of Dar Al-Sabeel for Press and Distribution, as its losses amounted to double its capital, in addition to failing to disclose the real beneficiary, not paying its full capital, and not depositing annual budgets.
An association in the Ain al-Basha area decided to dissolve itself.
The relevant authorities are working to track the operations and ownership of associations and companies suspected of being linked to the banned organization.
On another note, the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that soldiers killed two armed individuals after thwarting an infiltration attempt yesterday (Friday) across the border with Syria.
In a statement today (Saturday), it mentioned that the border guard forces in the eastern military region managed to thwart an attempt by a group of armed individuals to illegally infiltrate across the Jordanian border, according to what Petra reported.
It was reported that the rules of engagement were applied after they were spotted, leading to the death of two of them after an exchange of gunfire, while the remaining members of the group retreated into Syrian territory.
Jordan and Syria announced several months ago the formation of a joint security committee to combat smuggling, secure their borders, and combat the smuggling of weapons and drugs, during the visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shabandi to the capital Amman last January.
