دعا العاهل الأردني عبدالله الثاني اليوم (السبت) الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إلى بذل كل الجهود لوقف الحرب على غزة، وضمان تدفق المساعدات لجميع مناطق القطاع للتخفيف من الأوضاع الخطيرة والمأساوية، خلال اتصال هاتفي أجراه معه.
أفادت وكالة الأنباء الأردنية «بترا» بأن العاهل الأردني ناقش مع ترمب مجمل المستجدات في المنطقة، وخصوصاً التطورات في غزة وسورية.
وأشاد عبدالله الثاني بجهود الولايات المتحدة والرئيس الأمريكي في خفض التصعيد بالمنطقة، مبيناً أن الأردن مستمر بالعمل إلى جانب الولايات المتحدة والدول الفاعلة لتحقيق السلام الذي يضمن أمن واستقرار المنطقة بأكملها.
وأشار إلى نجاح التنسيق الوثيق بين الأردن والولايات المتحدة في خفض التصعيد في سورية، مؤكداً أهمية استقرارها والحفاظ على سيادة أراضيها.
وأشارت الوكالة إلى أن الأتصال تناول سبل تعزيز الشراكة الإستراتيجية بين الأردن والولايات المتحدة، وتوسيع التعاون الاقتصادي بينهما.
من جهة أخرى، أعلن وزير الخارجية الإماراتي الشيخ عبدالله بن زايد اليوم أن بلاده ستستأنف عمليات الإسقاط الجوي للمساعدات على قطاع غزة على الفور، موضحاً في منشور على حسابه بمنصة «إكس» أن الإمارات ستواصل إيصال الدعم الإغاثي إلى من هم في أمسّ الحاجة إليه براً، وجواً، وبحراً.
وأشار إلى أن الأوضاع الإنسانية في غزة «بلغت مرحلة حرجة وغير مسبوقة»، وأن الإمارات ستبقى ملتزمة بالتخفيف من المعاناة الإنسانية في القطاع.

The Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II called on U.S. President Donald Trump today (Saturday) to make every effort to stop the war on Gaza and ensure the flow of aid to all areas of the sector to alleviate the serious and tragic conditions during a phone call he had with him.
The Jordanian news agency "Petra" reported that the Jordanian monarch discussed with Trump the overall developments in the region, particularly the situation in Gaza and Syria.
King Abdullah II praised the efforts of the United States and the American president in de-escalating tensions in the region, indicating that Jordan continues to work alongside the United States and active countries to achieve peace that guarantees the security and stability of the entire region.
He noted the success of the close coordination between Jordan and the United States in de-escalating tensions in Syria, emphasizing the importance of its stability and maintaining the sovereignty of its territory.
The agency mentioned that the call addressed ways to enhance the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States and to expand economic cooperation between them.
On another note, UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed announced today that his country will immediately resume air drops of aid to the Gaza Strip, explaining in a post on his account on the "X" platform that the UAE will continue to deliver relief support to those in dire need by land, air, and sea.
He pointed out that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has "reached a critical and unprecedented stage," and that the UAE will remain committed to alleviating the humanitarian suffering in the sector.
