أكد رئيس الوزراء المصري مصطفى مدبولي، عمق ومتانة العلاقات الأخوية بين مصر والمملكة العربية السعودية، واصفاً إياهما بـ«جناحي الأمة العربية والإسلامية»، خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الأسبوعي للحكومة المصرية، رداً على الشائعات التي انتشرت أخيراً عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي بشأن وجود توترات بين البلدين.
وشدد مدبولي على أن العلاقات بين مصر والسعودية مبنية على وحدة المصير والتشارك في مواجهة التحديات الإقليمية، مؤكداً وجود توافق كامل في الرؤى بين القاهرة والرياض حيال القضايا العربية والإسلامية. وأشار إلى العلاقة المميزة التي تجمع قيادتي البلدين والتي تنعكس على التواصل الحكومي والشعبي.
وحذّر رئيس الوزراء المصري بشدة من أي محاولات لزعزعة العلاقات الأخوية واستغلال وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لتصدير صورة مغلوطة عن توترات مزعومة، مؤكداً أن السعودية ومصر لن تسمحا لأي طرف بإفساد هذه العلاقة الراسخة، «لا الآن ولا في المستقبل»، مشدداً على أن هناك أطرافاً تسعى لإثارة الفتنة لأهداف سياسية، لكنه أكد أن هذه المحاولات ستبوء بالفشل.
وجاءت تصريحات مدبولي في سياق تصاعد الحملات الإعلامية على منصات التواصل التي حاولت التشكيك في العلاقات بين الرياض والقاهرة، إذ تتمتع المملكة العربية السعودية ومصر بعلاقات تاريخية راسخة تمتد لعقود، وتعتبر الدولتان ركيزتين أساسيتين للاستقرار في المنطقة العربية.
ومنذ تولي الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي الحكم في 2014، شهدت العلاقات بين البلدين تعاوناً وثيقاً في مجالات الاقتصاد، والأمن، والسياسة الإقليمية، وقد دعمت السعودية مصر اقتصادياً من خلال استثمارات ضخمة، بما في ذلك إيداعات في البنك المركزي المصري ومشاريع تنموية مثل مشروع «نيوم» وتطوير الساحل الشمالي.
The Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly affirmed the depth and strength of the brotherly relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing them as "the wings of the Arab and Islamic nation," during the weekly press conference of the Egyptian government, in response to rumors that have recently spread on social media regarding tensions between the two countries.
Madbouly emphasized that the relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia are based on a shared destiny and cooperation in facing regional challenges, confirming a complete alignment in visions between Cairo and Riyadh regarding Arab and Islamic issues. He pointed to the special relationship that connects the leaderships of the two countries, which is reflected in governmental and popular communication.
The Egyptian Prime Minister strongly warned against any attempts to undermine the brotherly relations and to exploit social media to project a distorted image of alleged tensions, affirming that Saudi Arabia and Egypt will not allow any party to spoil this established relationship, "neither now nor in the future," stressing that there are parties seeking to incite discord for political purposes, but he confirmed that these attempts will fail.
Madbouly's statements came in the context of escalating media campaigns on social media that attempted to cast doubt on the relations between Riyadh and Cairo, as Saudi Arabia and Egypt enjoy a solid historical relationship that extends for decades, and the two countries are considered essential pillars for stability in the Arab region.
Since President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi assumed power in 2014, the relations between the two countries have witnessed close cooperation in the fields of economy, security, and regional politics. Saudi Arabia has supported Egypt economically through massive investments, including deposits in the Central Bank of Egypt and developmental projects such as the "NEOM" project and the development of the North Coast.
