أعلن البيت الأبيض، (الخميس)، أن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، يعاني من «ورم حميد بأسفل الساقين».
وفي بيان صادر عنه، قالت السكرتيرة الصحفية للبيت الأبيض كارولين ليفيت، اليوم، إن الرئيس ترامب تم تشخيصه بقصور وريدي مزمن، وهي مشكلة في الدورة الدموية، بعد ملاحظة «تورم خفيف في أسفل ساقيه».
وكشفت ليفيت عن هذا الأمر «بشكل مفاجئ»، أثناء معالجتها للتخمينات حول الكدمات الأخيرة على يدي ترمب، والتي قالت إنها تم تقييمها على أنها «تهيج بسيط في الأنسجة الرخوة بسبب المصافحة المتكررة واستخدام الأسبرين» كإجراء وقائي لصحة القلب.
وقالت ليفيت: «في إطار جهود الشفافية، أراد الرئيس مني أن أشارككم جميعاً اليوم مذكرة من طبيبه»، مضيفة: «في الأسابيع الأخيرة، لاحظ الرئيس ترمب تورماً خفيفاً في أسفل ساقيه، بما يتماشى مع الرعاية الطبية الروتينية، ومن باب الحيطة والحذر، تم تقييم هذا القلق بدقة من قبل الوحدة الطبية في البيت الأبيض».
وتابعت: «خضع الرئيس لفحص شامل، بما في ذلك الدراسات الوعائية التشخيصية، والطرف السفلي الثنائي، وأُجريت له فحوصات دوبلر الوريدية، وكشفت عن قصور وريدي مزمن.. وهي حالة شائعة، خاصة لدى الأفراد الذين تزيد أعمارهم عن 70 عاماً».
The White House announced on (Thursday) that President Donald Trump is suffering from a "benign tumor in the lower legs."
In a statement, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said today that President Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a circulatory problem, after noticing "slight swelling in his lower legs."
Levitt revealed this matter "suddenly" while addressing speculation about recent bruises on Trump's hands, which she said were assessed as "mild irritation of the soft tissues due to frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin" as a precautionary measure for heart health.
Levitt stated: "In the interest of transparency, the president wanted me to share with all of you today a memo from his doctor," adding: "In recent weeks, President Trump has noticed slight swelling in his lower legs, consistent with routine medical care, and as a precaution, this concern was thoroughly evaluated by the White House medical unit."
She continued: "The president underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies, bilateral lower extremity assessments, and venous Doppler tests, which revealed chronic venous insufficiency... a common condition, especially among individuals over the age of 70."
