دانت سورية بـ«أشد العبارات»، القصف الإسرائيلي الذي استهدف مؤسسات حكومية ومنشآت مدنية في كل من العاصمة دمشق ومحافظة السويداء، مؤكدة في بيان لوزارة الخارجية السورية اليوم (الأربعاء) ان الاعتداء السافر يأتي في سياق ممنهج لإشعال التوتر وخلق الفوضى.
وقالت وزارة الخارجية السورية في بيان: «تدين الجمهورية العربية السورية بأشد العبارات العدوان الإسرائيلي الغادر الذي استهدف مؤسسات حكومية ومنشآت مدنية في كل من العاصمة دمشق ومحافظة السويداء، مما أسفر عن ارتقاء عدد من الشهداء الأبرياء وسقوط عشرات الجرحى من المدنيين بينهم نساء وأطفال، وإلحاق أضرار جسيمة بالبنية التحتية والمرافق العامة»، مضيفة: «وهذا الاعتداء السافر الذي يأتي في سياق سياسة ممنهجة ينتهجها الكيان الإسرائيلي لإشعال التوتر وخلق الفوضى، وتقويض الأمن والأمان في سورية، ويمثل خرقاً فاضحاً لميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقانون الدولي الإنساني».
وحملت سورية، إسرائيل المسؤولية الكاملة عن هذا التصعيد الخطير وتداعياته، مؤكدة أنها ستحتفظ بكامل حقوقها المشروعة في الدفاع عن أرضها وشعبها بكل الوسائل التي يكفلها القانون الدولي.
ودعت وزارة الخارجية السورية، المجتمع الدولي، وفي مقدمته مجلس الأمن، إلى تحّمل مسؤوليته واتخاذ إجراءات عاجلة وملموسة لوضع حد للعدوان الإسرائيلي المتكرر على أراضي دولة ذات سيادة وعضو في الأمم المتحدة.
وكشفت وسائل إعلام غربية عن طلب سورية من مجلس الأمن عقد اجتماع لمناقشة العدوان الإسرائيلي على أراضيها، جاء ذلك في الوقت الذي اكدت وسائل إعلام سورية استهداف جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لجبال معضمية الشام، كما استهدفت الفوج 100 في مدينة قطنا بريف دمشق.

Syria condemned in the "strongest terms" the Israeli bombing that targeted government institutions and civilian facilities in both the capital Damascus and the province of Sweida, affirming in a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (Wednesday) that the blatant aggression comes within a systematic context to ignite tension and create chaos.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement: "The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the treacherous Israeli aggression that targeted government institutions and civilian facilities in both the capital Damascus and the province of Sweida, resulting in the loss of several innocent lives and dozens of injuries among civilians, including women and children, and causing severe damage to infrastructure and public facilities." It added: "This blatant aggression, which comes within a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli entity to ignite tension and create chaos, undermines security and safety in Syria, and represents a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and international humanitarian law."
Syria held Israel fully responsible for this dangerous escalation and its repercussions, affirming that it will retain all its legitimate rights to defend its land and people by all means guaranteed by international law.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community, foremost the Security Council, to assume its responsibility and take urgent and tangible measures to put an end to the repeated Israeli aggression against the territories of a sovereign state and a member of the United Nations.
Western media revealed that Syria requested the Security Council to hold a meeting to discuss the Israeli aggression against its territory, coinciding with reports from Syrian media confirming that the Israeli occupation army targeted the mountains of Muadhamiya al-Sham, as well as targeting Brigade 100 in the city of Qatana in the Damascus countryside.
