كلف الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، الجهات الرقابية باتخاذ الإجراءات الفورية بحق كل من ارتكب أي تجاوز، مهما كانت رتبته، وذلك عقب الأحداث التي شهدتها مدينة السويداء، جنوبي البلاد، مشدداً في بيان رئاسي نشرته وكالة الأنباء السورية «سانا» على ضرورة الالتزام ومنع أي شكل من أشكال الانتهاكات في كافة الجهات العامة والعسكرية.
وقال البيان الرئاسي: «انطلاقاً من حرص الدولة على صون الحقوق، وحقن الدماء، وسيادة القانون وضمان انتظام مؤسساتها، أكدت رئاسة الجمهورية العربية السورية على ضرورة التزام كافة الجهات العامة والخاصة المدنية والعسكرية بمنع أي شكل من أشكال التجاوز أو الانتهاك تحت أي مبرر كان» مضيفاً: تُكلّف الجهات الرقابية والتنفيذية المختصة باتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية الفورية بحق كل من يُثبت تجاوزه أو إساءته مهما كانت رتبته أو موقعه.
من جهة أخرى، أعلن وزير الدفاع السوري مرهف أبو قصرة، اليوم وقفاً تاماً لإطلاق النار في السويداء، وذلك استجابةً للاتفاق مع وجهاء وأعيان المحافظة، موضحاً في تغريدات على حسابه بـ«إكس» أن القوات المقاتلة ستتعامل فقط مع مصادر النيران أو أي استهداف من قبل المجموعات الخارجة عن القانون.
وأوضح أبو قصرة أنه أصدر تعليمات صارمة للقوات الموجودة في مدينة السويداء، بضرورة تأمين الأهالي والحفاظ على السلم المجتمعي، وحماية الممتلكات العامة والخاصة من ضعاف النفوس، مؤكداً بدء تسليم أحياء مدينة السويداء إلى قوى الأمن الداخلي حالما يتم الانتهاء من عمليات التمشيط، لمتابعة ضبط الفوضى وعودة الأهالي لمنازلهم، وإعادة الاستقرار للمدينة.
ولفت إلى أن قوات الشرطة العسكرية انتشرت داخل المدينة، لضبط السلوك العسكري ومحاسبة المتجاوزين. ويأتي إعلان وقف إطلاق النار، بعد دخول قوات وزارة الدفاع وقوات من وزارة الداخلية إلى مركز مدينة السويداء اليوم بعد اشتباكات مع مجموعات خارجة عن القانون..
ولقي دخول القوات الحكومية السورية إلى السويداء ترحيباً شعبياً واسعاً.
وكانت وزارة الخارجية السورية قد حمّلت إسرائيل المسؤولية الكاملة عن أحدث هجوم على جنوب سورية وما قد يترتب عليه من تداعيات، مؤكدة تمسك سورية بحقها المشروع في الحفاظ على الأراضي السورية بكافة الوسائل التي يكفلها القانون الدولي.
وأكدت الخارجية السورية حرصها على حماية جميع المواطنين دون استثناء، بمن فيهم الدروز، في ضوء التصعيد الأخير.
The Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara' tasked the regulatory authorities today (Tuesday) with taking immediate action against anyone who committed any violation, regardless of their rank, following the events that took place in the city of Sweida, in the south of the country. He emphasized in a presidential statement published by the Syrian News Agency "SANA" the necessity of adherence and preventing any form of violations in all public and military sectors.
The presidential statement said: "In light of the state's commitment to safeguarding rights, preserving lives, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring the regularity of its institutions, the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic emphasized the necessity for all public and private civil and military entities to prevent any form of transgression or violation under any pretext." It added: "The relevant regulatory and executive authorities are tasked with taking immediate legal action against anyone proven to have committed a transgression or offense, regardless of their rank or position."
On another note, Syrian Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasra announced today a complete ceasefire in Sweida, in response to an agreement with the notables and dignitaries of the province. He clarified in tweets on his account on "X" that the fighting forces will only engage with sources of fire or any targeting by groups operating outside the law.
Abu Qasra explained that he issued strict instructions to the forces present in the city of Sweida to ensure the safety of the citizens, maintain social peace, and protect public and private property from those with ill intentions. He confirmed the commencement of handing over neighborhoods in the city of Sweida to the internal security forces as soon as the combing operations are completed, to continue controlling the chaos and allow citizens to return to their homes, restoring stability to the city.
He pointed out that military police forces have been deployed within the city to regulate military conduct and hold violators accountable. The announcement of the ceasefire comes after the entry of forces from the Ministry of Defense and forces from the Ministry of Interior into the center of the city of Sweida today following clashes with groups operating outside the law.
The entry of Syrian government forces into Sweida was met with widespread popular approval.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had held Israel fully responsible for the latest attack on southern Syria and the potential repercussions, affirming Syria's commitment to its legitimate right to preserve Syrian territory by all means permitted under international law.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry emphasized its commitment to protecting all citizens without exception, including the Druze, in light of the recent escalation.
