دعت الهيئة العامة للمواصفات والمقاييس والجودة، المستوردين الأفراد للمركبات الجديدة والمستعملة إلى التحقق من مطابقة المركبة لمتطلبات المواصفات السعودية قبل شحنها إلى المملكة، وذلك عبر خدمة استيراد المركبات، حرصا على تسهيل حركة استيراد المركبات.
وأوضحت، أنها توفر هذه الخدمة من خلال منصة «سابر» الإلكترونية، التي تمكن المستورد من الحصول على شهادة إرسالية استيراد مركبة لضمان مطابقة المركبات والدراجات الآلية لمتطلبات اللوائح الفنية ما يسهم في تفادي إعادة المركبات غير المطابقة إلى بلد الشحن. وأضافت المواصفات، أنه يمكن للمستوردين الاستفادة من هذه الخدمة بشكل مباشر من خلال زيارة الموقع الإلكتروني لمنصة «سابر»، وتقديم طلب الحصول على شهادة إرسالية استيراد مركبة، مع دفع التكاليف المطلوبة، واختيار جهة التفتيش في بلد الشحن، على أن تقوم جهة التفتيش بدراسة الطلب وإجراء الفحص اللازم للتأكد من مطابقة المركبة للوائح الفنية ذات العلاقة، ومن ثم إصدار شهادة إرسالية استيراد مركبة.
وبينت، أن الخدمة تهدف إلى ضمان سلامة المركبات المستوردة، بما يسهم في حماية المستهلك، وتحقيق انسيابية أكبر لحركة الواردات، إضافة إلى دعم الاقتصاد الوطني، وتحسين تجربة المستوردين.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization has called on individual importers of new and used vehicles to ensure that their vehicles comply with Saudi specifications before shipping them to the Kingdom, through the vehicle import service, in order to facilitate the importation process.
It clarified that this service is provided through the electronic platform "Saber," which enables the importer to obtain a vehicle import shipment certificate to ensure that vehicles and motorcycles meet the requirements of technical regulations, thereby helping to avoid the return of non-compliant vehicles to the shipping country. The organization added that importers can benefit from this service directly by visiting the website of the "Saber" platform, submitting a request for a vehicle import shipment certificate, paying the required fees, and selecting an inspection entity in the shipping country. The inspection entity will then study the request and conduct the necessary inspection to ensure the vehicle's compliance with the relevant technical regulations, and subsequently issue the vehicle import shipment certificate.
It indicated that the service aims to ensure the safety of imported vehicles, which contributes to consumer protection, achieving greater fluidity in the movement of imports, in addition to supporting the national economy and improving the experience of importers.
