اجتمع وزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، بلاعبي المنتخب السعودي الأول لكرة القدم، عقب نهاية مواجهة «الأخضر» أمام المنتخب الإسباني، التي انتهت بفوز إسبانيا بأربعة أهداف دون مقابل، بحضور رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل.
وعكس اجتماع وزير الرياضة اهتمامه المباشر بالمنتخب الوطني، وحرصه على مؤازرة اللاعبين والجهاز الفني، ومتابعة استعداداتهم للمباراة القادمة في مشوار كأس العالم 2026، وتعزيز الجوانب المعنوية بعد الهزيمة الثقيلة.
وأكد وزير الرياضة للاعبين على أهمية طي صفحة المباراة، والتركيز على المواجهة القادمة أمام منتخب الرأس الأخضر، ومواصلة العمل بروح عالية ومسؤولية كبيرة، مشدداً على أن تمثيل الوطن في المحفل العالمي يتطلب الإصرار وبذل المزيد من الجهد حتى نهاية مشوار المنتخب في البطولة.
The Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, met with the players of the Saudi national football team following the match against the Spanish team, which ended with Spain winning four goals to none, in the presence of the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal.
This meeting reflected the Minister of Sports' direct interest in the national team, his eagerness to support the players and the coaching staff, and to follow up on their preparations for the upcoming match in the 2026 World Cup journey, as well as to boost their morale after the heavy defeat.
The Minister of Sports emphasized to the players the importance of putting the match behind them and focusing on the next encounter against the Cape Verde team, and continuing to work with high spirit and great responsibility, stressing that representing the nation on the global stage requires determination and increased effort until the end of the team's journey in the tournament.
