The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel Atty, conducted a series of communications with the foreign ministers of the Gulf countries, Jordan, and Iraq, including the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Yahya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Dr. Fouad Hussein, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan, Ayman Safadi.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday evening (Monday), the rapid developments in the region were discussed in light of the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar.

Minister Abdel Atty confirmed during the communications Egypt's full solidarity with the sisterly State of Qatar, following the recent Iranian attacks targeting its territory, emphasizing Egypt's condemnation of any infringement on the sovereignty and security of Qatar, and its rejection of all forms of threats to the security, safety, sovereignty, and stability of the sisterly Arab states.

The communications also addressed the repercussions of the attacks on the sisterly State of Qatar, and what they represent as a threat to the security and stability of the region, in addition to reviewing the growing military escalation and its dangers.

The ministers agreed on the utmost importance of halting the escalation, reducing tensions, exercising restraint, and coordinating regional and international efforts to contain the rising tensions and restore calm in the region.

Iran launched military attacks yesterday evening targeting a U.S. military base in Qatar, specifically the Al Udeid Air Base, which is one of the most important American bases in the region.

These attacks come amid rising tensions between Iran and the United States, as Tehran accuses Washington of supporting measures that target its national security, while the United States considers these attacks a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and a threat to regional security.

The attacks have sparked widespread reactions at both the regional and international levels, as Arab countries viewed them as an infringement on Qatar's sovereignty and a threat to the stability of the region, prompting the foreign ministers of Arab countries to coordinate their positions to contain the escalation.
