حذّر تقرير من أن تبعات الحرب بين إسرائيل وإيران، التي دخلت أسبوعها الثاني، لها انعكاسات ضارة على قطاع السياحة والسفر في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والخليج، إذ تواجه آلاف الرحلات الجوية في قطر، والإمارات، وإسرائيل، وإيران، والبحرين، وسلطنة عُمان الإلغاء. وكان النزاع بين طهران وتل أبيب أدى أصلاً الى إغلاق المجال الجوي في عدد من تلك البلدان، وإغراق الرحلات الجوية في الفوضى. كما قرر عدد كبير من شركات الخطوط الجوية تعليق رحلاتها لعدد من دول الشرق الأوسط إلى حين إشعار آخر. ويأتي إلغاء الرحلات، وتأخير بعضها في وقت تعلق فيه دول المنطقة آمالاً كبيرة على دور قوي لقطاع السياحة في اقتصاداتها. وتتوقع تلك الدول صيفاً عامراً بالسياح. غير أن السياح الموجودين حالياً في إسرائيل وإيران يعانون الانقطاع في هذين البلدين، من جراء إغلاق المجالات الجوية، وإلغاء الرحلات. وأشار تقرير نشره موقع «ترافيل آند تور ويرلد» إلى أن التأثيرات الارتدادية لهذه الأزمة الجيوبوليتيكية لن تقتصر على الإخلال بخطط السفر، بل ستشمل تحديات اقتصادية وسياسية، إضافة إلى ضبابية ما قد يحدث من تطورات في هذا النزاع المدمر. وأوضح التقرير أن تأثيرات الحرب الراهنة على شركات الطيران تشمل:
- طيران الإمارات: تعليق الرحلات للعراق، والأردن، ولبنان، وإيران حتى منتصف يونيو.
- الخطوط القطرية: تعليق الرحلات لإيران، والعراق، وسورية.
- خطوط فلاي دبي: تعليق الرحلات الجوية لعمّان، وبيروت، ودمشق، وإيران، وإسرائيل.
- طيران الاتحاد: تعليق وإلغاء وتأخير الرحلات من وإلى تل أبيب وعمَّان.
- الخطوط الفرنسية: تعليق الرحلات لتل أبيب.
- شركة دلتا: وقف الرحلات من نيويورك لتل أبيب حتى منتصف أغسطس.
- أميريكان ايرلاينز: وقف الرحلات من فيلادلفيا للدوحة حتى نهاية يونيو على الأقل.
وأعلنت كل من إسرائيل، وإيران، والعراق، والأردن، وسورية إغلاق مجالها الجوي، ومطاراتها الرئيسية. واضطرت شركات الطيران إلى تحديد مسارات جديدة لرحلاتها في المنطقة، ما أحدث سلسلة من عمليات التأخير، وإلغاء الرحلات، وارتباكاً شديداً للتشغيل في المطارات الرئيسية. وتعد إسرائيل الأشد تضرراً من الفوضى التي يشهدها السفر الجوي؛ إذ إن مطار بن غوريون في تل أبيب، والمجال الجوي الإسرائيلي مغلقان. وقررت خطوط كندا وفرنسا ولوفتهانزا ويونايتد وقف جميع رحلاتها لإسرائيل. وقال التقرير إن الكلفة الإنسانية لإلغاء الرحلات الجوية باهظة جداً؛ إذ إن آلاف السياح في إسرائيل وإيران وجدوا أنفسهم بلا وسيلة للعودة لبلدانهم. وذكرت تقارير رسمية أنه حتى 19 يونيو الجاري هناك 31 ألف سائح لا يستطيعون مغادرة إسرائيل. ويعاني المسافرون إلى إسرائيل وإيران من البحرين وقطر والإمارات من إلغاء رحلاتهم.

The conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv has already led to the closure of airspace in several of those countries, plunging flights into chaos. A large number of airlines have decided to suspend their flights to several Middle Eastern countries until further notice. The cancellations and delays come at a time when countries in the region have high hopes for a strong role for the tourism sector in their economies. These countries expect a summer bustling with tourists. However, tourists currently in Israel and Iran are suffering from disruptions in these two countries due to the closure of airspaces and flight cancellations. A report published by "Travel and Tour World" indicated that the ripple effects of this geopolitical crisis will not be limited to disrupting travel plans, but will also include economic and political challenges, in addition to the uncertainty of what developments may occur in this devastating conflict. The report clarified that the effects of the current war on airlines include:
- Emirates Airlines: Suspension of flights to Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iran until mid-June.
- Qatar Airways: Suspension of flights to Iran, Iraq, and Syria.
- Flydubai: Suspension of flights to Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Iran, and Israel.
- Etihad Airways: Suspension, cancellation, and delay of flights to and from Tel Aviv and Amman.
- Air France: Suspension of flights to Tel Aviv.
- Delta Airlines: Halt of flights from New York to Tel Aviv until mid-August.
- American Airlines: Halt of flights from Philadelphia to Doha until at least the end of June.
Israel, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria have announced the closure of their airspace and main airports. Airlines have been forced to set new routes for their flights in the region, resulting in a series of delays, cancellations, and significant operational confusion at major airports. Israel is the most affected by the chaos in air travel; Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and Israeli airspace are closed. Canadian, French, Lufthansa, and United Airlines have decided to suspend all their flights to Israel. The report stated that the humanitarian cost of flight cancellations is extremely high; thousands of tourists in Israel and Iran have found themselves without a way to return to their countries. Official reports indicated that as of June 19, there are 31,000 tourists unable to leave Israel. Travelers to Israel and Iran from Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE are suffering from their flights being canceled.
