كشفت بيانات تتبع الرحلات الجوية، أن نحو 30 طائرة عسكرية أمريكية نقلت من قواعد في الولايات المتحدة إلى أوروبا خلال الأيام الثلاثة الماضية.
وأظهر موقع «فلايت رادار24»، أن الطائرات المنقولة «صهريجية عسكرية أمريكية»، تستخدم لتزويد المقاتلات والقاذفات بالوقود، مؤكداً أن 7 طائرات منها من طراز كي سي 135، توقفت في قواعد جوية أمريكية بإسبانيا واسكتلندا وبريطانيا.
وحسب موقع «بي بي سي»، فليس واضحاً أن تحركات الطائرات الأمريكية مرتبطة بشكل مباشر بالحرب المستعرة بين إيران وإسرائيل.
ويعتقد كبير المحللين في معهد الخدمات الملكية المتحدة للدراسات الدفاعية جاستن برونك، أن عمليات الانتشار تشي بأن الولايات المتحدة تضع خططاً احتياطية لدعم عمليات قتالية مكثفة في المنطقة خلال الأسابيع القادمة.
فيما يرى القائد السابق لقوات الدفاع الأيرلندية نائب الأميرال مارك ميليت، أن هذه التحركات قد تكون جزءاً من سياسة أوسع من الغموض الاستراتيجي هدفها التأثير على إيران لدفعها إلى تقديم تنازلات.
وأفادت «بي بي سي» أن الطائرات السبع التي تتبعتها واصلت تحركها ومن خلال بيانات تتبع الرحلات شوهدت تحلق شرق صقلية حتى ظهر الثلاثاء، ولم يكن لستٍ منها وجهة معلنة بينما هبطت إحداها في جزيرة كريت اليونانية.
وتجيء تحركات الطائرات في ظل تقارير تفيد بأن الولايات المتحدة نقلت حاملة الطائرات «نيميتز» من بحر الصين الجنوبي نحو الشرق الأوسط.
وأظهر موقع تتبع السفن «مارين ترافيك»، أن آخر موقع لحاملة الطائرات كان في مضيق ملقا متجهة نحو سنغافورة في وقت مبكر من صباح الثلاثاء، وتحمل نيميتز مجموعة من المقاتلات وترافقها مدمرات صواريخ موجهة عدة.
ونقلت الولايات المتحدة مقاتلات من طراز إف 16 وإف 22 وإف 35 إلى قواعد في الشرق الأوسط، وفق ثلاثة مسؤولين في وزارة الدفاع، ويمكن استخدام الطائرات الصهريجية التي نُقلت إلى أوروبا خلال الأيام الماضية لتزويد هذه الطائرات بالوقود.
Flight tracking data revealed that about 30 American military aircraft were transported from bases in the United States to Europe over the past three days.
The website "Flight Radar 24" showed that the transported aircraft are "American military tankers," used to refuel fighters and bombers, confirming that 7 of these aircraft are of the KC-135 model, which stopped at American air bases in Spain, Scotland, and Britain.
According to the "BBC," it is not clear whether the movements of the American aircraft are directly related to the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.
Justin Bronk, a senior analyst at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, believes that the deployment operations indicate that the United States is making contingency plans to support intensive combat operations in the region in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, former commander of the Irish Defence Forces, Vice Admiral Mark Millett, sees these movements as potentially part of a broader policy of strategic ambiguity aimed at influencing Iran to make concessions.
The "BBC" reported that the seven tracked aircraft continued their movements, and through flight tracking data, they were seen flying east of Sicily until Tuesday afternoon, with six of them having no declared destination, while one landed on the Greek island of Crete.
The movements of the aircraft come amid reports that the United States has moved the aircraft carrier "Nimitz" from the South China Sea towards the Middle East.
The ship tracking website "Marine Traffic" showed that the last location of the aircraft carrier was in the Strait of Malacca heading towards Singapore early Tuesday morning, with the Nimitz carrying a group of fighters and accompanied by several guided missile destroyers.
The United States has transferred F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighters to bases in the Middle East, according to three officials in the Department of Defense, and the tankers that were transported to Europe in recent days can be used to refuel these aircraft.
