إسرائيل تدمّر مبنيين لإنتاج أجهزة الطرد المركزي قرب طهران

The International Atomic Energy Agency reported that Israeli military strikes targeted two facilities in Iran that manufacture parts for centrifuges, which are the machines used to enrich uranium. The agency identified the two facilities in a post on the X platform today (Wednesday) as the Tesa Karaj workshop and the Tehran Research Center.

It mentioned that at the site in Tehran, a building that was used for manufacturing and testing advanced centrifuge rotors was targeted. In Karaj, two buildings that were used for manufacturing various components for centrifuges were destroyed.

The Israeli army announced that it attacked a site for producing centrifuges and several sites for producing weapons for the Iranian regime last night. It added in a statement: More than 50 fighter jets from the Air Force, guided by precise intelligence from the intelligence branch, carried out a series of strikes on military targets in the Tehran area in recent hours.

It confirmed that it targeted a site for producing centrifuges in Tehran, which are used to expand the scope and speed of uranium enrichment with the aim of developing a nuclear weapon, in addition to several sites for producing weapons, including facilities for producing raw materials and compounds for assembling ballistic missiles. It clarified that among the targets were sites for producing ground-to-air missile systems designed to attack aircraft.

For his part, the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Salami, confirmed today, Wednesday, that "the conditions of the nuclear facility are good." The Mehr news agency quoted Salami as saying: "The people have not succumbed to force and have never surrendered; the morale of our colleagues in the nuclear facilities is excellent, and they are working as usual."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel will do everything in its power to destroy the Iranian nuclear program.

The Natanz reactor is the main facility for uranium enrichment in Iran, located in Isfahan province about 220 kilometers southeast of the capital Tehran. Iran began constructing it secretly, and it was revealed in 2002. It is designed to accommodate tens of thousands of centrifuges. Since 2010, the reactor has been subjected to a series of attacks attributed to Israel, including a cyberattack, explosions, and sabotage of electrical systems.

Iran announced that Natanz was among the targets hit in an Israeli airstrike on June 13, 2025.
