أكد العاهل الأردني عبدالله الثاني، اليوم (الأحد)، أن بلاده لن تكون ساحة حرب لأي صراع، موضحاً أن الأردن لن يتهاون مع أي جهة تحاول العبث بأمنه واستقراره وسلامة مواطنيه، بحسب وكالة الأنباء الأردنية «بترا».
وحذّر الملك عبدالله الثاني، خلال لقائه شخصيات سياسية وإعلامية في قصر الحسينية، من التبعات الخطيرة للعدوان الإسرائيلي على إيران، مشيراً إلى الجهود الدبلوماسية التي يبذلها الأردن إقليمياً ودوليّاً من أجل التهدئة الشاملة في المنطقة واستعادة الأمن والاستقرار، ومساعيه للتنسيق مع الأطراف الفاعلة من أجل تحقيق السلام على أساس حل الدولتين.
وتطرق في اللقاء إلى نتائج جولته في أوروبا، التي ركزت على كسب التأييد الدولي لدعم الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، وضرورة الوقف الفوري للحرب على غزة وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية، وإنهاء التصعيد في الضفة الغربية والقدس.
وكان ولي العهد الأردني الأمير الحسين بن عبدالله الثاني قد شدد، خلال زيارته للقيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية – الجيش العربي اليوم، على أن أمن الأردن وشعبه وسلامة أراضيه فوق أي اعتبار، معرباً عن ثقته بكفاءة وجاهزية الجيش العربي في الدفاع عن سماء وأرض المملكة.
وثمن ولي العهد الأردني الدور المحوري للقوات المسلحة في حماية الأردنيين على امتداد حدود بلاده.
The Jordanian King Abdullah II confirmed today (Sunday) that his country will not be a battlefield for any conflict, explaining that Jordan will not tolerate any party attempting to tamper with its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens, according to the Jordan News Agency "Petra".
During his meeting with political and media figures at the Al-Husseiniya Palace, King Abdullah II warned of the serious repercussions of the Israeli aggression against Iran, pointing to the diplomatic efforts made by Jordan regionally and internationally for comprehensive calm in the region and the restoration of security and stability, as well as its endeavors to coordinate with active parties to achieve peace based on the two-state solution.
He also discussed the results of his tour in Europe, which focused on garnering international support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the urgent need to halt the war on Gaza and allow humanitarian aid, and to end the escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
The Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II emphasized during his visit to the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army today that the security of Jordan, its people, and the integrity of its territory are above any consideration, expressing his confidence in the efficiency and readiness of the Arab Army to defend the skies and land of the Kingdom.
The Jordanian Crown Prince praised the pivotal role of the armed forces in protecting Jordanians along the borders of their country.
