أشارت تقارير حقوقية إلى أن المئات من اليمنيين يواجهون الموت في سجون المليشيات الحوثية بسبب التعذيب أثناء مجريات التحقيق، وعدم تمكين السجناء من أبسط حقوقهم، حيث يُزج بهم في الزنازين الانفرادية دون أكل أو شرب في محاولة لتركيعهم والانخراط معهم في ممارساتهم بنهب حقوق المواطنين الذين ما زالوا تحت سيطرتهم.
وتفيد التقارير الواردة من صنعاء أن السلطات الحوثية تُمارس أبشع الانتهاكات بحق من يرفضون تنفيذ إملاءاتهم أمام أسرهم في محاولة لترهيب الأطفال، ما يسهل انخراطهم في المعسكرات التي تقيمها المليشيا في بعض المديريات لتدريبهم على استخدام الأسلحة الفتاكة، وغسل أدمغتهم وتلقينهم دروساً تحفزهم على القتال في الجبهات، من منطلق أن اليمنيين في المحافظات المحررة هم الخطر الأكبر عليهم.
وتتحرك عدد من الهيئات اليمنية على مستوى دولي لفضح الممارسات الحوثية، وسط مطالبات عدد من الناشطين بضرورة التدخل الدولي لإنقاذ الأبرياء الذين ما زالوا يقبعون في السجون الحوثية، وتُمارس بحقهم أبشع الجرائم، وسط غياب تام للعدالة المنشودة.
Human rights reports have indicated that hundreds of Yemenis are facing death in the prisons of the Houthi militias due to torture during interrogations, and the denial of prisoners' most basic rights, as they are thrown into solitary confinement without food or water in an attempt to break them and force them to engage in their practices of plundering the rights of citizens who are still under their control.
Reports from Sana'a indicate that the Houthi authorities are committing the most heinous violations against those who refuse to comply with their demands in front of their families in an attempt to intimidate children, which facilitates their recruitment into the camps established by the militia in some districts to train them in the use of deadly weapons, brainwash them, and indoctrinate them with lessons that motivate them to fight on the front lines, based on the premise that Yemenis in the liberated provinces are their greatest threat.
Several Yemeni organizations are working at an international level to expose Houthi practices, amid calls from various activists for the necessity of international intervention to save the innocents who are still languishing in Houthi prisons, where the most heinous crimes are being committed against them, in the complete absence of the desired justice.
