التقى سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في لبنان وليد بخاري، اليوم (الأربعاء)، النائب والوزير السابق إدمون رزق، في جلسة تناولت محطات دستورية أساسية ومفصلية في تاريخ لبنان.
قال البخاري في تغريدات له: «تشرفت بمطالعة دستورية مع النائب والوزير السابق إدمون رزق المُشارك المحوري في صياغة وثيقة الوفاق الوطني، اتفاق الطائف، والشاهد على أهم التحوّلات المفصلية في تاريخ الجمهورية اللبنانية.
يُعلمُنا دوماً بأن السياسة ليست صراعاً بل مسؤولية، وأن الدستور ليس نصاً بل ضميراً».
وكان بخاري استقبل، صباح اليوم، وزير الأشغال العامة والنقل فايز رسامني، إذ جرى استعراض مختلف التطورات الراهنة في لبنان والمنطقة، وسبل تطوير العلاقات الثنائية وتعزيزها لما فيه مصلحة البلدين الشقيقين.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, met today (Wednesday) with former minister and deputy Edmon Rizk in a session that addressed key constitutional milestones in the history of Lebanon.
Bukhari stated in his tweets: "I was honored to have a constitutional discussion with former minister and deputy Edmon Rizk, a pivotal participant in drafting the National Accord Document, the Taif Agreement, and a witness to the most significant turning points in the history of the Lebanese Republic.
He always reminds us that politics is not a struggle but a responsibility, and that the constitution is not just a text but a conscience."
Bukhari also received this morning the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Faiz Rassamni, during which various current developments in Lebanon and the region were reviewed, as well as ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.
