بهدف تعزيز قدرة المشاركة في اللجان المجتمعية، نظّمت منظمة ميون لحقوق الإنسان اليمنية اليوم (الثلاثاء)، ورشة تدريبية استهدفت 15 عضواً من لجان الحماية المجتمعية في مدينة عدن، وفي الورشة التي حملت عنوان «وصول المساعدات الإنسانية في إطار القانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان» ناقش المشاركون آلية حماية المدنيين وتقديم المساعدات لهم.
وتهدف الورشة التي نظمتها ميون بالشراكة مع مركز مدنيين في ظل الصراع (CIVIC)، إلى تعزيز قدرات المشاركين من اللجان المجتمعية على فهم الإطار القانوني الدولي المتعلق بوصول وتوزيع المساعدات الإنسانية، وتسليط الضوء على المبادئ الأساسية للعمل الانساني، بما في ذلك الإنسانية، والاستقلال، والحياد، وعدم التحيز.
وشملت الورشة عدداً من المحاور المتعلقة بالقانون الدولي الإنساني، وآليات حماية المدنيين، والدور المجتمعي في تسهيل وصول المساعدات الإنسانية، بالإضافة إلى استعراض التحديات التي تواجه العاملين في المجال الإنساني في اليمن.

وشدد المشاركون على أهمية الورشة، وتمكين لجان الحماية المجتمعية من أداء دورها في الرقابة والمناصرة لضمان وصول المساعدات إلى الفئات الأكثر ضعفاً، وتعزيز مبادئ الشفافية والمساءلة والعدالة الإنسانية في ظل تراجع التمويل الإنساني.
تأتي هذه الورشة في إطار جهود منظمة ميون ومركز CIVIC لتعزيز الوعي الحقوقي والمجتمعي، ودعم حماية المدنيين في سياقات النزاع المسلح في اليمن.
In order to enhance the capacity for participation in community committees, the Meoun Organization for Human Rights in Yemen organized a training workshop today (Tuesday) targeting 15 members of community protection committees in the city of Aden. In the workshop titled "Access to Humanitarian Assistance under International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights," participants discussed the mechanisms for protecting civilians and providing assistance to them.
The workshop, organized by Meoun in partnership with the CIVIC Center, aims to enhance the participants' understanding of the international legal framework related to the access and distribution of humanitarian assistance, and to highlight the fundamental principles of humanitarian work, including humanity, independence, neutrality, and impartiality.
The workshop included several topics related to international humanitarian law, mechanisms for protecting civilians, the community's role in facilitating access to humanitarian assistance, as well as reviewing the challenges faced by humanitarian workers in Yemen.

Participants emphasized the importance of the workshop and empowering community protection committees to perform their role in monitoring and advocacy to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable groups, and to promote the principles of transparency, accountability, and humanitarian justice in light of the decline in humanitarian funding.
This workshop comes as part of the efforts of the Meoun Organization and the CIVIC Center to enhance legal and community awareness, and to support the protection of civilians in contexts of armed conflict in Yemen.
