أوقفت الأجهزة الأمنية البريطانية 8 رجال، من بينهم 7 إيرانيين، في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر في عمليتين منفصلتين في ما وصفته وزيرة الداخلية البريطانية بأنه أكبر تحقيق من نوعه في السنوات القليلة الماضية.
وقالت الشرطة البريطانية اليوم (السبت) في بيان إنها وجهت اتهامات لـ3 إيرانيين بارتكاب جرائم بموجب قانون الأمن القومي بعد تحقيق كبير في مكافحة الإرهاب.

وكان وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي قد عبّر في وقت سابق عن «انزعاجه» عندما علم أن السلطات البريطانية اعتقلت مواطنين إيرانيين.
ووضعت الحكومة البريطانية إيران في أعلى مستوى في «سجل النفوذ الأجنبي»، ما يلزم طهران بتسجيل كل ما تقوم به لممارسة النفوذ السياسي في بريطانيا.
The British security forces arrested 8 men, including 7 Iranians, earlier this month in two separate operations in what the British Home Secretary described as the largest investigation of its kind in recent years.

The police said in their statement today (Saturday) that Mostafa Sibahvand, Farhad Javadimanesh, and Shapur Gholikhani Noori have been accused of "involvement in conduct likely to assist a foreign intelligence service" between August 14, 2024, and February 16, 2025. They added that the foreign state related to the charges is Iran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had previously expressed his "concern" upon learning that British authorities had arrested Iranian citizens.
The British government has placed Iran at the highest level in the "foreign influence register," requiring Tehran to register all activities it undertakes to exert political influence in Britain.
