ثمن المتحدث باسم وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة اليمنية محمد المسبحي، الدعم التنموي السخي الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية لقطاع الطاقة في اليمن، مؤكداً أن الدعم السعودي النوعي والمستمر شكل صمام أمان حال دون انهيار المنظومة الكهربائية خلال السنوات الماضية.
وأوضح المسبحي في تصريح لـ«عكاظ»، أن التجهيزات الفنية التي وصلت أخيراً تأتي في إطار مشروع إستراتيجي لإنشاء ثلاث محطات توليد كهربائية جديدة بنظام (BOT) بقدرة إجمالية تبلغ 300 ميغاوات، مشيراً إلى أن هذه القدرة التوليدية ستوزع بالتساوي بواقع 100 ميغاوات للعاصمة المؤقتة عدن، و100 ميغاوات لمحافظة حضرموت الساحل، و100 ميغاوات لحضرموت الوادي.
شراكة إستراتيجية للتنمية
وأضاف متحدث وزارة الكهرباء أن هذه المشاريع الحيوية هي ثمرة مذكرة تفاهم مشتركة وُقعت بين وزارة الكهرباء والطاقة، والبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، وشركة الخليج العالمية للطاقة الكهربائية، بحضور سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى اليمن المشرف العام على البرنامج محمد بن سعيد آل جابر، مؤكداً أن هذه الخطوة تندرج ضمن مسار التعاون الأخوي المشترك بين الرياض وعدن لدعم التنمية المستدامة، والارتقاء بالبنية التحتية بما ينسجم مع برنامج الإصلاحات الشاملة للحكومة اليمنية.
امتداد لمواقف تاريخية
وأكد المسبحي أن «الدعم السعودي لقطاع الكهرباء ليس وليد اللحظة، بل هو امتداد لسلسلة من المواقف الأخوية التاريخية، بدءاً من منحة وقود تشغيل محطات التوليد، مروراً بإدارة الأزمات الطارئة والتخفيف من آثارها، وصولاً إلى المشاريع الإستراتيجية التي تشهدها البلاد اليوم».
وأضاف: «نعول كثيراً على استمرار هذا الدعم الأخوي، لاسيما في التوجه نحو الاستثمار في مشاريع الطاقة المتجددة والنظيفة بقدرات إنتاجية ضخمة، كونها تمثل مستقبل قطاع الطاقة في اليمن، وتسهم في تنويع المصادر وخفض تكاليف التشغيل».
تحديات شبكات النقل
وأعرب متحدث وزارة الكهرباء عن أمله في أن يشمل الدعم المستقبلي مشاريع إستراتيجية لإعادة تأهيل وتطوير شبكات النقل والتوزيع، موضحاً أن الشبكات الحالية تعاني من تهالك كبير أدى إلى ارتفاع نسبة الفاقد الكهربائي إلى نحو 46%، وهو رقم يستنزف موارد القطاع ويؤثر مباشرة على جودة واستقرار الخدمة.
واختتم المسبحي تصريحه بالإعراب عن ثقة اليمن الكبيرة بـقيادة وحكومة وشعب المملكة في مواصلة مساندة الجهود الحكومية لإنهاء أزمة الكهرباء التي أثقلت كاهل المواطنين لأكثر من عقد من الزمن، موجهاً عظيم الشكر والامتنان للمملكة على مواقفها الثابتة والدائمة في مختلف المجالات والقطاعات الخدمية المرتبطة بحياة الشعب اليمني اليومية.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Mohammed Al-Masbahi, praised the generous developmental support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the energy sector in Yemen, confirming that the qualitative and continuous Saudi support has acted as a safety valve that prevented the collapse of the electrical system in recent years.
Al-Masbahi explained in a statement to "Okaz" that the technical equipment that recently arrived is part of a strategic project to establish three new power generation stations under the (BOT) system with a total capacity of 300 megawatts, noting that this generating capacity will be distributed equally with 100 megawatts for the temporary capital, Aden, 100 megawatts for the coastal Hadramout governorate, and 100 megawatts for Hadramout valley.
A Strategic Partnership for Development
He added that these vital projects are the result of a joint memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, and the Gulf International Company for Electric Power, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, the General Supervisor of the program, Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber, confirming that this step falls within the framework of the brotherly cooperation between Riyadh and Aden to support sustainable development and enhance infrastructure in line with the comprehensive reform program of the Yemeni government.
Extension of Historical Positions
Al-Masbahi affirmed that "the Saudi support for the electricity sector is not a momentary act, but rather an extension of a series of historical brotherly positions, starting from the fuel grant for operating power generation stations, through managing emergency crises and mitigating their effects, to the strategic projects that the country is witnessing today."
He added: "We greatly rely on the continuation of this brotherly support, especially in the direction of investing in renewable and clean energy projects with massive production capacities, as they represent the future of the energy sector in Yemen and contribute to diversifying sources and reducing operational costs."
Challenges of Transmission Networks
Al-Masbahi expressed hope that future support would include strategic projects for rehabilitating and developing transmission and distribution networks, explaining that the current networks suffer from significant deterioration that has led to an increase in electrical losses to about 46%, a figure that drains the sector's resources and directly affects the quality and stability of service.
He concluded his statement by expressing Yemen's great confidence in the leadership, government, and people of the Kingdom in continuing to support government efforts to end the electricity crisis that has burdened citizens for more than a decade, extending immense thanks and gratitude to the Kingdom for its steadfast and permanent positions in various fields and service sectors related to the daily lives of the Yemeni people.
