At the Saudi Film Forum 2025, the CEO of the Hail Development Authority, Omar bin Abdullah Al Abduljabar, spoke in terms of numbers and vision, confirming that the authority is working to create an attractive environment for the film industry and to establish local and international partnerships that support visual production and develop the necessary infrastructure for major film shoots. The scene in Hail goes beyond the lens to build an integrated economic system that embraces technology and provides young men and women with new opportunities in the world of creativity.

The diversity of nature between the Aja and Salma mountains, along with the details of heritage and culture, gives Hail its uniqueness in producing historical, dramatic, and environmental films with a purely Saudi identity that aligns with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in supporting the creative economy and diversifying income sources.

The film industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, and Hail today is leveraging its location and resources to be part of this international scene, having welcomed production teams from within and outside the Kingdom to shoot short films that highlight the beauty of the place and the spirit of its people.

These steps are consistent with global trends in the economics of cinema, as investments in cinematic infrastructure and content in the Kingdom have exceeded 3.5 billion riyals, while countries like Spain and Nigeria have achieved economic leaps through production incentives and attracting global companies, confirming that cinema has become an economic and tourist tributary that reshapes the identity of cities and gives them a global voice.

Hail is transforming into a model for Saudi cities that utilize the beauty of the place to serve the idea of the homeland, investing in imagery to create its presence in both memory and the economy, truly becoming a bridge from the scene of nature to the screen of the world.
