اختُتمت في قاعدة الملك عبدالعزيز البحرية بالأسطول الشرقي في الجبيل، مناورات التمرين البحري الثنائي المختلط «السيف الأزرق 4» الذي نفذته القوات البحرية الملكية السعودية ونظيرتها في جمهورية الصين الشعبية، بحضور قائد الأسطول الشرقي اللواء البحري الركن ساجر بن رفيد العنزي.
وتضمن التمرين عدداً من الفرضيات والتدريبات الميدانية، شملت القتال في المناطق المبنية، وعمليات الدوريات والإغارة والكمائن، ومكافحة الإرهاب، إضافة إلى فرضية تحرير الأطقم والرهائن.
واشتملت مناورات التمرين على تنفيذ مهمات اكتشاف وإبطال الألغام تحت الماء، وعمليات الإنزال بالحبال بمشاركة الطائرات العمودية من نوع «سوبر بوما»، إلى جانب تدريبات الرماية بالأسلحة الخفيفة، ورماية القناصة، والرماية التكتيكية.
ويهدف التمرين إلى تعزيز أوجه التعاون العسكري بين الجانبين، وتبادل الخبرات، لرفع مستوى الجاهزية القتالية، إضافة إلى تطوير القدرات في مجالات مكافحة الإرهاب البحري، والقرصنة البحرية، وإزالة الألغام البحرية والتعامل مع الطائرات المسيّرة التكتيكية.
The mixed bilateral naval exercise "Blue Sword 4" concluded at King Abdulaziz Naval Base in the Eastern Fleet in Jubail, executed by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces and their counterparts from the People's Republic of China, in the presence of the Commander of the Eastern Fleet, Rear Admiral Sager bin Rafeed Al-Anzi.
The exercise included a number of scenarios and field training, covering combat in built-up areas, patrol operations, raids, ambushes, and counter-terrorism, in addition to a scenario for the liberation of crews and hostages.
The maneuvers involved carrying out missions for detecting and neutralizing underwater mines, and rope insertion operations with the participation of "Super Puma" helicopters, alongside training in light weapons firing, sniper shooting, and tactical shooting.
The aim of the exercise is to enhance military cooperation between the two sides, exchange experiences, raise the level of combat readiness, and develop capabilities in areas such as maritime counter-terrorism, maritime piracy, mine clearance, and dealing with tactical drones.
