أوضح المتحدث باسم هيئة المساحة الجيولوجية السعودية طارق أبا الخيل، أنه تم رصد زلزال بقوة 4.34 درجة في الخليج العربي، على بُعد 160 كيلومتراً شمال شرق الخفجي، عند الساعة 12:27 فجراً من صباح أمس (الأحد) 19 أكتوبر 2025م.
وقال: «إن هذا الزلزال الذي حدث في الخليج العربي بعيد جغرافياً عن أراضي المملكة»، مبيّناً أن الهيئة تتابع على مدار الساعة جميع الهزات الأرضية التي تُسجّل داخل المملكة ومحيطها عبر محطات رصد زلازل منتشرة بطريقة علمية، مؤكداً في الوقت نفسه أن الوضع في السعودية طبيعي وآمن ولا توجد أي مؤشرات أو توقعات بحدوث نشاط زلزالي.
وأشار أبا الخيل، إلى أن ما يُرصد من هزات أرضية خلال الفترة الحالية يُعد ضعيفاً جداً على مقياس ريختر، ولا يشكّل أي خطورة على المناطق السعودية.

The spokesperson for the Saudi Geological Survey, Tariq Aba Al-Khail, stated that an earthquake measuring 4.34 on the Richter scale was detected in the Arabian Gulf, 160 kilometers northeast of Al-Khafji, at 12:27 AM yesterday (Sunday), October 19, 2025.
He said: "This earthquake that occurred in the Arabian Gulf is geographically distant from the territories of the Kingdom," explaining that the authority continuously monitors all seismic activities recorded within the Kingdom and its surroundings through scientifically distributed earthquake monitoring stations, while also confirming that the situation in Saudi Arabia is normal and safe, with no indicators or forecasts of seismic activity.
Aba Al-Khail pointed out that the seismic activities recorded during the current period are very weak on the Richter scale and pose no danger to Saudi regions.
