اختتم وزير الصحة فهد بن عبدالرحمن الجلاجل، مشاركته في أعمال الدورة 72 للجنة الإقليمية لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لشرق المتوسط، التي استضافتها جمهورية مصر العربية الشقيقة في القاهرة لمدة 3 أيام متتالية بدءًا من يوم 15 حتى 17 أكتوبر الجاري.
وعقد الجلاجل عددًا من الاجتماعات الثنائية المثمرة مع نظرائه من جمهورية مصر العربية، وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، وجمهورية إيران الإسلامية، حيث تضمنت الاجتماعات استعراض سبل تطوير التنسيق الصحي المشترك لضمان الوصول العادل للخدمات الطبية، ودعم الجهود للتصدي لحالات الطوارئ، ومكافحة شلل الأطفال في الإقليم.
والتقى الجلاجل المديرَ الإقليمي لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لإقليم شرق المتوسط، الدكتورة حنان بلخي، ناقشا خلاله سبل تعزيز الوصول العادل إلى الحلول الصحية التحويلية وتسريع التغطية الصحية الشاملة، كما التقى نخبة من المسؤولين وخبراء القطاع الصحي، وجرى خلال هذه اللقاءات بحثُ سبل تعزيز مرونة الأنظمة الصحية، ودعم التعاون الصحي الإقليمي لمواجهة التحدّيات المشتركة.
وأكد وزير الصحة، خلال إلقاء كلمة المملكة في اجتماع الرعاة التنفيذيين لمبادرة تحدي إرث شلل الأطفال، التزام المملكة الراسخ بدعم الجهود الدولية والإقليمية للقضاء على شلل الأطفال، والارتقاء بالخدمات الصحية وتعزيز جودة الحياة للأجيال القادمة.
وتعكس مشاركة المملكة في أعمال الدورة (72) للجنة الإقليمية لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لشرق المتوسط، التزامها بدعم المبادرات الصحية العالمية، وتوحيد الجهود لبناء منظومات صحية شاملة ومتكاملة، بما يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية الصحية المتوافقة مع رؤية السعودية 2030، وبناء مستقبلٍ أكثر صحة وازدهار على المستويين الإقليمي والعالمي.
Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel concluded his participation in the 72nd session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, which was hosted by the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt in Cairo for three consecutive days from October 15 to 17.
Al-Jalajel held a number of fruitful bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the meetings included reviewing ways to develop joint health coordination to ensure equitable access to medical services, support efforts to address emergencies, and combat polio in the region.
Al-Jalajel met with the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hanan Balkhy, during which they discussed ways to enhance equitable access to transformative health solutions and accelerate universal health coverage. He also met with a group of officials and health sector experts, during which discussions focused on ways to enhance the resilience of health systems and support regional health cooperation to face common challenges.
During his speech representing the Kingdom at the Executive Sponsors Meeting of the Polio Legacy Challenge Initiative, the Minister of Health reaffirmed the Kingdom's steadfast commitment to supporting international and regional efforts to eradicate polio, improve health services, and enhance the quality of life for future generations.
The Kingdom's participation in the 72nd session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean reflects its commitment to supporting global health initiatives and unifying efforts to build comprehensive and integrated health systems, contributing to achieving health development goals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, and building a healthier and more prosperous future at both regional and global levels.
