ولي العهد يعلن إطلاق مشروع «بوابة الملك سلمان» في مكة المكرمة

The Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holy Mosque Vision Company, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, announced the launch of the "King Salman Gateway" project as a multi-use destination in Mecca.

The "King Salman Gateway" extends over a total built area of up to 12 million square meters next to the Grand Mosque.

The project aims to achieve a qualitative leap in developing the infrastructure of the city of Mecca, particularly the central area, to become a global model for urban development, making it a major contributor to supporting efforts to develop the area and facilitate visits while providing high-quality services to those visiting the House of God, enriching their religious and cultural journey in line with the objectives of the Guest of God Service Program.

Project Features

The "King Salman Gateway" project is distinguished by its strategic location next to the Grand Mosque and is a multi-use destination primarily aimed at enhancing the system of services provided, offering residential, cultural, and service facilities surrounding the Grand Mosque. The project also adds a capacity to accommodate approximately 900,000 worshippers in the internal prayer halls and external courtyards.

The project is linked to public transportation to facilitate access to the Grand Mosque and represents an exceptional harmonious blend of Mecca's rich architectural heritage with the finest modern lifestyles, ensuring the highest levels of comfort. The project also aims to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Mecca by developing and rehabilitating an area of about 19,000 square meters of cultural and heritage areas, enriching the experience of its visitors, as well as contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in terms of economic diversification by creating more than 300,000 job opportunities by 2036.

The "King Salman Gateway" project is being developed by the Holy Mosque Vision Company, one of the Public Investment Fund's companies, to support the implementation of its strategy by enhancing the level of urban development in the area surrounding the Grand Mosque to become one of the best global development models. The Holy Mosque Vision Company focuses on the sustainable management of resources through innovative solutions, contributing to achieving a tangible positive impact on residents and the Guests of God from pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors while preserving the cultural fabric of Mecca.
