استقبل أمير المنطقة الشرقية الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز، في مكتبه بديوان الإمارة، اليوم (الإثنين)، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة المياه الوطنية الدكتور فؤاد بن أحمد آل الشيخ مبارك، يرافقه عدد من القيادات في الشركة.
ونوه أمير المنطقة الشرقية بما يحظى به قطاع المياه من دعم وتمكين من القيادة الرشيدة، والذي أسهم في توسع المنظومة وتطورها وتحسين جودة المياه المقدمة لسكان المنطقة الشرقية، وتعزيز استدامتها بكفاءة تتوافق مع الإستراتيجية الوطنية للمياه، وتسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030.
وقدم الدكتور آل الشيخ مبارك له عرضا حول مشاريع تحسين جودة المياه التي دشنها سموه أخيرا، والتي أسفرت عن توزيع 1.8 مليون متر مكعب يوميا من المياه المحلاة في المنطقة، عقب الانتهاء من تنفيذ 12 مشروعا مائيا بتكلفة تجاوزت 4 مليارات ريال، تسهم في رفع جودة مياه الشرب بالمنطقة الشرقية.
وأوضح أن هذه المشاريع تضمنت مدّ نحو نصف مليون متر طولي من خطوط المياه الرئيسية والشبكات الفرعية، إلى جانب إنشاء 40 خزانا بسعة إجمالية تتجاوز 1.6 مليون متر مكعب موزعة على 24 محطة ضخ، مبينا أن هذه الحزمة من المشاريع أسهمت في الارتقاء بجودة الحياة لسكان المنطقة، فيما تواصل الشركة تنفيذ مشاريعها التطويرية لرفع كفاءة التغطية وتحسين الخدمة في جميع المحافظات والمدن.
ورفع آل الشيخ مبارك شكره وتقديره لأمير المنطقة الشرقية على دعمه ومتابعته الدائمة لمشاريع الشركة وأعمالها التوسعية في منظومتها المائية والبيئية، مؤكدا مضي الشركة في تنفيذ المشاريع التي وضع سموه حجر أساسها، بما يعزز كفاءة منظومة المياه واستدامتها في المنطقة.
The Emir of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, received today (Monday) in his office at the Emirate's Diwan the CEO of the National Water Company, Dr. Fouad bin Ahmed Al-Sheikh Mubarak, accompanied by a number of leaders from the company.
The Emir of the Eastern Province highlighted the support and empowerment that the water sector receives from the wise leadership, which has contributed to the expansion and development of the system and the improvement of the quality of water provided to the residents of the Eastern Province, enhancing its sustainability efficiently in line with the national water strategy, and contributing to achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Al-Sheikh Mubarak presented to him an overview of the water quality improvement projects that His Highness recently launched, which resulted in the distribution of 1.8 million cubic meters of desalinated water daily in the region, following the completion of 12 water projects with a cost exceeding 4 billion riyals, which contribute to raising the quality of drinking water in the Eastern Province.
He explained that these projects included laying approximately half a million linear meters of main water lines and sub-networks, in addition to the establishment of 40 tanks with a total capacity exceeding 1.6 million cubic meters distributed across 24 pumping stations, indicating that this package of projects has contributed to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of the region, while the company continues to implement its developmental projects to improve coverage efficiency and service in all governorates and cities.
Al-Sheikh Mubarak expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Emir of the Eastern Province for his support and continuous follow-up on the company's projects and its expansion efforts in its water and environmental system, affirming the company's commitment to executing the projects that His Highness laid the foundation stone for, which enhances the efficiency and sustainability of the water system in the region.
