أعلنت السفارة السعودية في إيطاليا بدء العمل بنظام الدخول الجديد الخاص بالاتحاد الأوروبي (Entry-Exit System - EES) اعتباراً من 12 أكتوبر 2025، داعية جميع المواطنين القادمين إلى إيطاليا إلى الاطلاع على تفاصيل النظام والالتزام بما يتضمنه من إجراءات جديدة.
وأوضحت السفارة أن النظام الجديد يهدف إلى تسجيل بيانات جواز السفر والخصائص الحيوية للقادمين إلى إيطاليا من خارج الاتحاد الأوروبي، مشيرة إلى أن تأشيرة شنغن (Schengen) لا تزال مطلوبة لدخول إيطاليا وبقية دول منطقة الشنغن.
وبيّنت أن التغيير الوحيد الذي يطرأ بموجب هذا النظام هو تسجيل بيانات القادمين إلكترونياً عند الوصول، بما يشمل بيانات الجواز والخصائص الحيوية.
كما ذكّرت السفارة المواطنين بضرورة الالتزام بشروط تأشيرات شنغن السياحية، والتي تتيح لحاملها البقاء في دول منطقة الشنغن لمدة لا تتجاوز 90 يوماً خلال كل 180 يوماً.
The Saudi Embassy in Italy announced the implementation of the new entry system for the European Union (Entry-Exit System - EES) starting from October 12, 2025, urging all citizens traveling to Italy to review the system's details and comply with the new procedures it entails.
The embassy clarified that the new system aims to register passport data and biometric features of travelers coming to Italy from outside the European Union, noting that a Schengen visa is still required to enter Italy and the rest of the Schengen Area.
It indicated that the only change under this system is the electronic registration of incoming travelers' data upon arrival, which includes passport data and biometric features.
The embassy also reminded citizens of the necessity to adhere to the conditions of Schengen tourist visas, which allow the holder to stay in the Schengen Area for no more than 90 days within any 180-day period.
