حذّرت الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمحافظة الطائف من مخاطر إطعام قرود البابون، مؤكدة أن هذا السلوك يعرّض الأشخاص للخطر ويغيّر من طبيعة هذه الحيوانات. وأوضحت الإدارة عبر حسابها الرسمي في منصة «إكس»، أن «السلامة تبدأ بالمعرفة»، وأن الحملة التوعوية التي أطلقتها تهدف إلى الحد من السلوكيات الخاطئة المرتبطة بإطعام القرود.وبينت، أن الخطة تشمل بث رسائل موجهة للطلاب والطالبات والمجتمع المحلي، عبر مواد مرئية ومقروءة، للتأكيد على خطورة إطعام الحيوانات البرية وتأثيره السلبي على التوازن البيئي، لاسيما مع تزايد ظهور القرود في المناطق السكنية والمرافق العامة.وأكدت الإدارة، أن الحملة تستهدف الطلاب والكوادر التعليمية وأولياء الأمور، إلى جانب تعريفهم بالقوانين والتنظيمات التي تحظر هذا النوع من التغذية العشوائية للحياة الفطرية.وكان المركز الوطني لتنمية الحياة الفطرية أكد، أن إطعام قرود البابون يعد سلوكاً مخالفاً لنظام البيئة ولوائحه التنفيذية. وأشار المركز إلى أن المخالفة تستوجب غرامة مالية تبلغ 500 ريال، وأن أسباب تفاقم المشكلة تعود إلى اختلال التوازن البيئي، والتوسع الحضري، ووفرة مصادر الغذاء، مشدداً على أهمية استمرار التوعية والتعاون المجتمعي للحد من الظاهرة.

The General Administration of Education in Taif Governorate has warned about the dangers of feeding baboons, emphasizing that this behavior puts individuals at risk and alters the nature of these animals. The administration clarified through its official account on the "X" platform that "safety begins with knowledge," and that the awareness campaign it launched aims to reduce the incorrect behaviors associated with feeding monkeys. It explained that the plan includes broadcasting messages directed at students and the local community through visual and written materials, to emphasize the dangers of feeding wild animals and its negative impact on ecological balance, especially with the increasing appearance of monkeys in residential areas and public facilities. The administration confirmed that the campaign targets students, educational staff, and parents, in addition to informing them about the laws and regulations that prohibit this type of random feeding of wildlife. The National Center for Wildlife Development has confirmed that feeding baboons is a behavior that violates the environmental system and its executive regulations. The center pointed out that the violation incurs a financial penalty of 500 riyals, and that the reasons for the exacerbation of the problem are due to ecological imbalance, urban expansion, and the abundance of food sources, stressing the importance of continued awareness and community cooperation to limit the phenomenon.
