واصل الطالب غسان الصميلي من المرحلة الابتدائية بجدة، تألقه في مسابقات الحساب الذهني على المستويين المحلي والدولي، بعد أن حقق المركز الأول في البطولة العربية للحساب الذهني التي نظمتها المنظمة العالمية النخبة في الحساب بمكة المكرمة، بمشاركة 14 دولة عربية.
وتمكن غسان من حل 139 مسألة حسابية من أصل 150 مسألة في زمن لم يتجاوز 5 دقائق، ليتوّج بذهبية البطولة عن جدارة.
إنجازات سابقة
لم يكن هذا الفوز الأول لغسان؛ ففي 23 أغسطس الماضي، حصل على المركز الأول في مسابقة عالمية أقيمت «أون لاين» من مصر، بعد أن نجح في حل 91 مسألة في 5 دقائق بمشاركة متسابقين من 15 دولة.
كما أحرز المركز الثالث في مسابقة عالمية أخرى نظمتها مصر وسورية (أون لاين) في 13 سبتمبر الجاري، بعدما تمكن من حل 78 مسألة من أصل 80، وسط منافسة من متسابقين يمثلون 10 دول.
موهبة استثنائية
تؤكد هذه النتائج أن غسان الصميلي يسير بخطوات واثقة نحو العالمية في مجال الحساب الذهني، ليصبح واحداً من أبرز المواهب السعودية الواعدة في هذا المجال، معززاً مكانة المملكة في ساحات التنافس الأكاديمي الدولي.
The student Ghassan Al-Sumaili from the elementary stage in Jeddah continues to shine in mental arithmetic competitions at both local and international levels, after achieving first place in the Arab Championship for Mental Arithmetic organized by the Elite Global Organization for Calculation in Mecca, with the participation of 14 Arab countries.
Ghassan managed to solve 139 mathematical problems out of 150 in a time not exceeding 5 minutes, earning the gold medal of the championship deservedly.
Previous Achievements
This was not Ghassan's first victory; on August 23rd, he secured first place in a global competition held online from Egypt, after successfully solving 91 problems in 5 minutes with participants from 15 countries.
He also achieved third place in another global competition organized by Egypt and Syria (online) on September 13th, after managing to solve 78 problems out of 80, amidst competition from participants representing 10 countries.
Exceptional Talent
These results confirm that Ghassan Al-Sumaili is confidently stepping towards global recognition in the field of mental arithmetic, becoming one of the most prominent promising Saudi talents in this area, enhancing the Kingdom's position in the arenas of international academic competition.
