أكّد نائب رئيس الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا) المهندس سامي بن عبدالله مقيم، أن الذكاء الاصطناعي لم يعد طموحا مستقبليا، بل أصبح واقعا حاضرا يسهم في إعادة تشكيل القطاعات في العالم كافة، من التصنيع الذكي والزراعة الدقيقة إلى التمويل الرقمي والخدمات الصحية المتقدمة، بما يفتح آفاقا جديدة لتحسين حياة الملايين من البشر حول العالم.
جاء ذلك خلال مشاركة المملكة اليوم، ممثلة في الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا)، في فعالية أممية ضمن أعمال الدورة الثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة (UNGA 80) بمدينة نيويورك، بالتعاون مع منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (اليونيدو) ومؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للتجارة والتنمية (الأونكتاد) ومكتب الأمم المتحدة للتقنيات الرقمية والناشئة (ODET)؛ لمناقشة دور الذكاء الاصطناعي في دفع التنمية الشاملة وتعزيز التعاون الدولي ومتعدد الأطراف حوله.
وأوضح أن رؤية المملكة 2030 أسهمت في قيادة الابتكار بالمملكة ضمن صميم الاهتمام بالتنويع الاقتصادي والمضي نحو صناعات المستقبل، مؤكدا أن توجه المملكة يتجاوز حدود الاهتمام المحلي ليكون جزءا من جهد عالمي مشترك يقوم على الشمولية والتعاون الدولي المستدام.
واستعرض خلال الجلسة أبرز الإنجازات التي حققتها المملكة في هذا المجال، ومنها إطلاق نموذج اللغة العربية الضخم «علّام»، المصنّف عالميا والمندمج مع منصتَي IBM Watsonx وMicrosoft Azure، بما يمكّن ملايين الناطقين بالعربية من دخول العصر الرقمي وبما يعزز من مكانة اللغة العربية.
وأضاف أن المملكة، ممثلة في «سدايا» عملت على مدى ستة أعوام على بناء القدرات البشرية في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي بما يتيح تمكين مختلف فئات المجتمع من هذه المجالات المتقدمة، مشيرا في هذا السياق إلى مبادرة «سماي» التي تستهدف تدريب مليون مواطن ومواطنة على تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، بما يهيئهم لفرص العمل المستقبلية من خلال فهم أبعاد هذه التقنيات المتقدمة.
وأبرز الدور المحوري للتطبيق الوطني الشامل «توكلنا» بوصفه نموذجا وطنيا رائدا للتطبيقات الشاملة، إذ يقدّم أكثر من 1000 خدمة رقمية لأكثر من 320 جهة، مؤكدا أن هذه الإنجازات تجسد الأثر المباشر للذكاء الاصطناعي في تحسين جودة الخدمات العامة ودعم النمو الاقتصادي.
وفي هذا الإطار، نوّه المهندس سامي مقيم بإطلاق شركة «هيوماين» للذكاء الاصطناعي عام 2025، التي ستعمل بالشراكة مع شركة NVIDIA على تشغيل 18 ألف وحدة معالجة رسومية متقدمة لتأسيس مصانع للذكاء الاصطناعي، ضمن استثمار وطني ضخم يقدّر بـ100 مليار دولار.
وفي مجال البيانات المفتوحة، لفت النظر إلى أن المنصة الوطنية للبيانات توفر أكثر من 14 ألف مجموعة بيانات من 308 جهات، ما يتيح لصنّاع القرار ورواد الأعمال تطوير حلول عملية قائمة على البيانات، متطرقا إلى إنشاء المركز الدولي لأبحاث وأخلاقيات الذكاء الاصطناعي (ICAIRE) بالرياض بإشراف منظمة اليونسكو، بوصفه منصة دولية لتعزيز التعاون متعدد الأطراف وردم الفجوات في قدرات الذكاء الاصطناعي عالميا.
واختتم المهندس سامي مقيم كلمته بتوجيه دعوة للمشاركين في الجلسة لحضور أعمال الدورة الـ21 للمؤتمر العام لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (اليونيدو) التي ستستضيفها الرياض خلال الفترة من 23 إلى 27 نوفمبر 2025، مؤكدا مواصلة المملكة جهودها لتعزيز الابتكار وترسيخ التعاون الدولي نحو مستقبل رقمي أكثر شمولية واستدامة.
The Deputy President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Engineer Sami bin Abdullah Muqeem, confirmed that artificial intelligence is no longer a future ambition, but has become a present reality that contributes to reshaping sectors worldwide, from smart manufacturing and precision agriculture to digital finance and advanced healthcare services, opening new horizons to improve the lives of millions of people around the globe.
This came during the Kingdom's participation today, represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in a UN event as part of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80) in New York City, in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and the United Nations Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (ODET); to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in driving inclusive development and enhancing international and multilateral cooperation around it.
He explained that Saudi Vision 2030 has contributed to leading innovation in the Kingdom as part of a core focus on economic diversification and moving towards future industries, emphasizing that the Kingdom's approach goes beyond local interest to be part of a shared global effort based on inclusivity and sustainable international cooperation.
During the session, he reviewed the key achievements that the Kingdom has made in this field, including the launch of the massive Arabic language model "Alam," which is globally classified and integrated with the IBM Watsonx and Microsoft Azure platforms, enabling millions of Arabic speakers to enter the digital age and enhancing the status of the Arabic language.
He added that the Kingdom, represented by SDAIA, has worked for six years on building human capacity in the field of artificial intelligence, enabling various segments of society to engage with these advanced fields, noting in this context the "Smai" initiative, which aims to train one million citizens on artificial intelligence technologies, preparing them for future job opportunities through understanding the dimensions of these advanced technologies.
He highlighted the pivotal role of the comprehensive national application "Tawakkalna" as a leading national model for comprehensive applications, providing over 1,000 digital services to more than 320 entities, affirming that these achievements embody the direct impact of artificial intelligence in improving the quality of public services and supporting economic growth.
In this context, Engineer Sami Muqeem noted the launch of the "Humain" artificial intelligence company in 2025, which will work in partnership with NVIDIA to operate 18,000 advanced graphics processing units to establish artificial intelligence factories, as part of a massive national investment estimated at $100 billion.
In the field of open data, he pointed out that the national data platform provides more than 14,000 datasets from 308 entities, allowing decision-makers and entrepreneurs to develop practical data-driven solutions, referring to the establishment of the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) in Riyadh under the supervision of UNESCO, as an international platform to enhance multilateral cooperation and bridge gaps in global artificial intelligence capabilities.
Engineer Sami Muqeem concluded his speech by inviting the participants in the session to attend the 21st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), which will be hosted in Riyadh from November 23 to 27, 2025, affirming the Kingdom's continued efforts to enhance innovation and establish international cooperation towards a more inclusive and sustainable digital future.
