وزير الخارجية يغادر إلى نيويورك لترؤس وفد المملكة في الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah will leave this evening (Friday) to New York City in the United States of America to head the Kingdom's delegation participating in the work of the United Nations General Assembly in its eightieth session.

The Kingdom's delegation includes the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, a member of the Council of Ministers and Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mr. Faisal bin Fadhel Al-Ibrahim, the advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs and General Supervisor of the Ministry's Public Diplomacy Agency, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi, and the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil.

The Kingdom will host, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly's eightieth session, a number of initiatives and meetings aimed at enhancing regional and global security and stability, and strengthening diplomatic, humanitarian, and developmental efforts. The Kingdom will also chair the high-level international conference for the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution at the leaders' level, as well as the high-level ministerial meeting of the international coalition to implement the two-state solution.

The Foreign Minister, along with the esteemed members of the Kingdom's delegation, will also participate in the United Nations celebration marking the (80) years since its establishment, in addition to a number of official meetings aimed at enhancing multilateral international work and discussing developments in the regional and international arenas, the efforts made to establish the foundations of international peace and security, and coordinating joint work to achieve sustainable development goals, as well as holding bilateral meetings with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, and several officials from international organizations participating in the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly.
