التقى وزير التعليم يوسف بن عبدالله البنيان ممثلي عدد من الجامعات الأسترالية البارزة، وذلك في جامعة نيوساوث ويلز بمدينة سيدني؛ بهدف تعزيز أواصر الشراكة التعليمية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وأستراليا، ولبحث سبل التعاون في مختلف المجالات الأكاديمية والبحثية.
مجالات التعاون
وتطرق اللقاء إلى مجالات التعاون المحتملة بين الجامعات الأسترالية ونظيراتها السعودية، بما في ذلك برامج التبادل الطلابي، وتطوير المناهج الدراسية، وتعزيز القدرات البحثية المشتركة، وموضوع الابتكار في التعليم الرقمي، واستخدام التقنيات الحديثة في العملية التعليمية؛ لتعزيز تجربة الطالب وضمان جودة المخرجات الأكاديمية.
تبادل الخبرات ركيزة أساسية
وأكد البنيان خلال كلمته في اللقاء على أهمية توسيع نطاق التعاون بين الجامعات في المملكة وأستراليا، مشيراً إلى أن تبادل الخبرات العلمية والأكاديمية يمثل ركيزة أساسية لتطوير التعليم الجامعي والبحث العلمي في كلا البلدين.
وأشار إلى أهمية استثمار الفرص البحثية المشتركة في مجالات العلوم والتقنية والهندسة والطب، بما يواكب توجهات المملكة نحو التحول الرقمي والابتكار.
برامج تعاون طويلة الأمد
من جانبهم، أعرب ممثلو الجامعات الأسترالية عن تطلعهم لتطوير برامج تعاون طويلة الأمد مع المؤسسات التعليمية السعودية، مؤكدين استعدادهم لتبادل الخبرات الأكاديمية وبناء شراكات بحثية مبتكرة، تخدم الطلاب وتواكب التوجهات العالمية في التعليم والبحث العلمي.
Minister of Education Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan met with representatives of several prominent Australian universities at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, with the aim of strengthening educational partnership ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Australia, and to discuss ways of cooperation in various academic and research fields.
Areas of Cooperation
The meeting addressed potential areas of cooperation between Australian universities and their Saudi counterparts, including student exchange programs, curriculum development, enhancing joint research capabilities, the topic of innovation in digital education, and the use of modern technologies in the educational process; to enhance the student experience and ensure the quality of academic outcomes.
Experience Exchange as a Fundamental Pillar
Al-Bunyan emphasized during his speech at the meeting the importance of expanding the scope of cooperation between universities in the Kingdom and Australia, pointing out that the exchange of scientific and academic experiences represents a fundamental pillar for the development of higher education and scientific research in both countries.
He highlighted the importance of investing in joint research opportunities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and medicine, in line with the Kingdom's trends towards digital transformation and innovation.
Long-term Cooperation Programs
For their part, representatives of the Australian universities expressed their eagerness to develop long-term cooperation programs with Saudi educational institutions, affirming their readiness to exchange academic experiences and build innovative research partnerships that serve students and align with global trends in education and scientific research.
