بتوجيه ومتابعة من وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ، اختتمت وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد، مساء أمس (الخميس)، 19 ربيع الأول 1447هـ، المسابقة الكبرى الثانية لحفظ القرآن الكريم في مملكة تايلند، التي نظمتها بالتعاون مع مكتب شيخ الإسلام والمركز الإسلامي الثقافي في بانكوك، وبمشاركة أكثر من 300 متسابق ومتسابقة على المستوى الوطني.

وأقيم الحفل بحضور وكيل الوزارة لشؤون المساجد المكلف الشيخ سليمان بن فهد الخميس، وسفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى مملكة تايلند عبدالرحمن بن عبدالعزيز السحيباني، ورئيس المجلس الملكي الخاص في تايلند الجنرال سورايوت شولانون، وشيخ الإسلام أرون بونشوم، وأمين عام المجلس المركزي الإسلامي بتايلند اللواء سورين بالاري، ورئيس لجنة تنظيم المسابقة الدكتور عبدالله نومسوك، إلى جانب عدد من سفراء الدول العربية والإسلامية، وجمع من الشخصيات السياسية والإسلامية التايلندية.

دعم العمل الإسلامي
وألقى وكيل الوزارة لشؤون المساجد الشيخ سليمان الخميس كلمة في الحفل، رفع خلالها أسمى آيات الشكر والعرفان إلى مقام خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، على ما يوليانه من دعم كريم وعناية متواصلة بخدمة القرآن الكريم وأهله.

وفي ختام الحفل، جرى تسليم الجوائز والدروع التذكارية للفائزين والفائزات، والتقاط الصور التذكارية بهذه المناسبة، وسط إشادة واسعة بما تقوم به المملكة من جهود رائدة في دعم العمل الإسلامي، ورعاية حفظة القرآن الكريم داخل المملكة وخارجها، وترسيخ قيم الوسطية والاعتدال، وتعزيز رسالتها العالمية في خدمة الإسلام والمسلمين.
Under the guidance and follow-up of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance concluded the second major competition for memorizing the Holy Quran in the Kingdom of Thailand yesterday evening (Thursday), 19 Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH. This event was organized in collaboration with the Office of the Sheikh of Islam and the Islamic Cultural Center in Bangkok, with the participation of more than 300 male and female contestants at the national level.

The ceremony was attended by the Acting Undersecretary for Mosque Affairs, Sheikh Suleiman bin Fahd Al-Khamis, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Thailand, Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Suhaibani, the Chairman of the Royal Council in Thailand, General Surayut Chulanont, Sheikh of Islam Arun Bunchum, the Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Council in Thailand, Major General Surin Palari, and the Chairman of the Competition Organizing Committee, Dr. Abdullah Nomsuk, along with a number of ambassadors from Arab and Islamic countries, and a group of Thai political and Islamic figures.

Support for Islamic Work
Sheikh Suleiman Al-Khamis delivered a speech at the ceremony, during which he expressed his highest thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, for their generous support and continuous care for the service of the Holy Quran and its people.

At the end of the ceremony, awards and commemorative shields were presented to the winners, and commemorative photos were taken on this occasion, amid widespread praise for the Kingdom's pioneering efforts in supporting Islamic work, nurturing Quran memorizers both inside and outside the Kingdom, promoting values of moderation and balance, and enhancing its global message in serving Islam and Muslims.
