وجّه وزير الشؤون الإسلامية والدعوة والإرشاد، الشيخ الدكتور عبداللطيف بن عبدالعزيز آل الشيخ، أئمة المساجد والجوامع في مختلف مناطق المملكة بإقامة صلاة الخسوف عند مشاهدة خسوف القمر مساء يوم غدٍ الأحد 15 ربيع الأول 1447هـ.
ويأتي هذا التوجيه تطبيقًا للسنة النبوية التي حثّت على الصلاة والدعاء والذكر عند رؤية خسوف القمر، اقتداءً بالنبي المصطفى ﷺ القائل: «إن الشمس والقمر آيتان من آيات الله يخوّف الله بهما عباده، وإنهما لا ينكسفان لموت أحد ولا لحياته، فإذا رأيتم منها شيئًا فصلّوا وادعوا الله حتى يكشف ما بكم».
كما دعا آل الشيخ الأئمة إلى إرشاد المصلين عند حدوث الخسوف بالإكثار من ذكر الله تعالى، والاستغفار، والتكبير، والصدقة، والتقرّب إلى الله بالأعمال الصالحة.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, has directed the imams of mosques and congregational prayers in various regions of the Kingdom to hold the prayer for the lunar eclipse upon witnessing the eclipse of the moon tomorrow evening, Sunday, 15th of Rabi' al-Awwal 1447 AH.
This directive comes as an application of the prophetic tradition that encourages prayer, supplication, and remembrance upon seeing the lunar eclipse, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who said: "The sun and the moon are two signs of Allah, with which He frightens His servants. They do not eclipse due to the death or life of anyone. So when you see anything of that, pray and invoke Allah until what you are experiencing is lifted."
Al Sheikh also urged the imams to guide the worshippers during the eclipse by increasing the remembrance of Allah, seeking forgiveness, proclaiming the greatness of Allah, giving charity, and drawing closer to Allah through righteous deeds.
