From the heart of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the pulse of charitable giving extends to various corners of the earth, carrying a noble humanitarian message and a ray of light focused on supporting the needy and aiding the distressed in different countries, through quality projects and comprehensive assistance that includes food, medicine, and shelter, meeting the needs of those affected by crises and disasters, embodying the values of solidarity and mutual support that characterize the Kingdom.

Since 1975, the Kingdom has provided aid exceeding (141) billion US dollars, equivalent to (530) billion Saudi riyals, and has implemented (8,134) projects in (174) countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, the Americas, and Australia, solidifying its position among the largest donor countries in the world.

Among the leading humanitarian achievements established by the Kingdom in recent years is the founding of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, which has become a national landmark and a prestigious global institution in international solidarity and the implementation of sustainable charitable work, serving as a fundamental pillar in international humanitarian efforts.

Thanks to God Almighty, and under the wise directives and keen interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with meticulous follow-up from Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, charitable work in the Kingdom has reached new heights. Since its establishment a decade ago, the King Salman Center for Relief has implemented (3,632) projects in sectors such as nutrition, health, education, protection, shelter, logistical support, water, and environmental sanitation, covering (108) countries worldwide, including Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, and Somalia, with a value exceeding (8) billion and (155) million US dollars, benefiting millions of needy, affected, and refugee individuals in the targeted countries without discrimination, contributing - by God's will - to the rebuilding of communities.

In light of the humanitarian crisis faced by the brotherly Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, along with the severe famine and deteriorating living conditions of civilians, the center has operated an air bridge and a sea bridge consisting of (62) planes and (8) ships, carrying (7,552) tons of food, medical, and shelter materials, and delivering (20) ambulances to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. The center has signed agreements with international organizations to implement relief projects within the sector valued at (90) million and (350) thousand dollars, and has carried out aerial drop operations to overcome the closure of border crossings by Israeli occupation forces.

The King Salman Center for Relief has implemented (1,118) projects in Yemen, with a value exceeding (4) billion and (650) million US dollars, including the operation and management of the Saudi hospital in Hajjah Governorate, operating emergency nutritional medical clinics for displaced persons from Al Hudaydah Governorate and its districts, and a comprehensive care and sponsorship project for orphans in Hadhramaut Governorate to assist orphans and support them in living and educational care, as well as empowering their families.

In Sudan, the center has implemented (212) projects valued at over (167) million dollars, to support food and shelter security, secure medical supplies for cancer patients, establish a desalination plant at the children's hospital in Port Sudan in the Red Sea State, and address the acute shortage of dialysis supplies during humanitarian crises in Sudan.

In support of the brotherly Syrian people, the center has implemented (419) relief and humanitarian projects valued at over (532) million dollars, and has operated air and land bridges carrying shelter, food, and medical assistance to the Syrian Arab Republic.

In Somalia, the King Salman Center for Relief has provided (141) relief and humanitarian projects valued at over (248) million US dollars, including a project to support the water and environmental sanitation sector in the displacement camps in Somalia, and a project to establish (200) housing units with health, educational, and infrastructure facilities for flood-affected individuals in the Kismayo area.

To highlight the Kingdom's efforts internationally and safeguard its rights in giving, akin to major donor countries, relief, volunteer, documentation, and international registration platforms have been established, such as the Saudi Aid Platform, the platform for aid provided to refugees in the Kingdom, the external volunteering platform, and the electronic donation platform "Sahim," which has managed to raise over one billion and (610) million riyals, with the participation of more than (8) million and (541) thousand donors, reflecting the community's trust in the center's programs and enhancing their sustainability, contributing to reaching the most needy groups around the world and achieving a notable humanitarian impact.

The King Salman Center for Relief has received a series of international awards and honors, including the Family and Childhood Friendly Institutions Award for the year 2024 presented by the General Secretariat of the Arab League, in recognition of the center's efforts to support Palestinian children and families under occupation, and the Global Humanitarian Achievement Award presented by the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, for its outstanding contributions to humanitarian and relief work at the international level. Among the major humanitarian achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Nations recently adopted, at the initiative of the Kingdom, November 24 as the International Day of Conjoined Twins.

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action has obtained the international ISO certification (ISO 8000-1:2022) in data quality on the Saudi Aid Platform, being the first Saudi entity to receive this international accreditation in this field, as confirmed by the ISO organization.

This prominent humanitarian role of the King Salman Center for Relief coincides with the International Day of Charitable Work, observed on September 5 each year, affirming that the Kingdom does not merely celebrate the occasion but embodies its meanings in tangible reality, taking its ambitious Vision 2030 as a beacon guiding Saudi humanitarian work to greater heights, remaining a key partner in shaping a more equitable and supportive humanitarian future for all humanity.
