أبان المرور السعودي شروط قيادة المركبات داخل المملكة باستخدام رخصة دولية أو أجنبية، وأوضح أن الهدف من هذه الضوابط هو تعزيز السلامة المرورية وضمان التزام السائقين بالأنظمة.
وحسب ما نشر عبر الحساب الرسمي للمرور على منصة «إكس»، تمثّلت أبرز الشروط في توافق الرخصة مع نوع المركبة، إضافة إلى أن تكون مترجمة من جهة معتمدة. كما يُشترط أن تكون مدة القيادة بالرخصة الأجنبية أو الدولية سنة واحدة فقط من تاريخ دخول المملكة أو حتى انتهاء صلاحيتها إذا كان أقرب.
وأشار المرور السعودي إلى أنه يُسمح بالقيادة بالرخص الصادرة من دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية طوال فترة صلاحيتها، بينما لا يُعتد بالرخصة الدولية الصادرة من داخل دول المجلس عند القيادة داخل دول الخليج.
وأكدت الإدارة العامة للمرور أن هذه التوضيحات تأتي في إطار تنظيم عملية القيادة للزائرين بما يحقق الانسيابية المرورية ويعزز من معايير السلامة على الطرق.
The Saudi traffic department has outlined the conditions for driving vehicles within the Kingdom using an international or foreign license, stating that the aim of these regulations is to enhance traffic safety and ensure drivers' compliance with the laws.
According to what was published via the official traffic account on the "X" platform, the main conditions include that the license must correspond to the type of vehicle, in addition to being translated by an accredited entity. It is also required that the duration of driving with the foreign or international license is only one year from the date of entry into the Kingdom or until its expiration, whichever comes first.
The Saudi traffic department indicated that driving is permitted with licenses issued by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries for the entire duration of their validity, while international licenses issued from within the GCC countries are not recognized when driving within the Gulf countries.
The General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that these clarifications come as part of organizing the driving process for visitors in a way that achieves traffic flow and enhances safety standards on the roads.
