كرّم أمير منطقة حائل الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعد بن عبدالعزيز اليوم المعلّم سعود بن عبدالعزيز الشمري تقديرًا لشجاعته في إنقاذ طلاب ومعلمي مدرسة حذيفة بن اليمان بمدينة حائل أثناء حريق شبّ في عداد الكهرباء داخل المدرسة.
وأشاد بموقفه البطولي الذي عكس روح المسؤولية والتفاني، معبّرًا عن اعتزازه بما قدمه، وذلك بحضور وكيل وزارة الطاقة لشؤون الكهرباء المهندس رائد الشنيبر، ومدير عام التعليم بالمنطقة، ومدير إدارة الكهرباء.
وكان المعلّم الشمري قد بادر صباح الأربعاء الماضي إلى إطفاء الحريق فور اندلاعه، مانعًا امتداد النيران إلى الفصول الدراسية ومؤمّنًا سلامة الطلاب ومنسوبي المدرسة. وخلال محاولاته أصيب بكسر مضاعف في يده نتيجة سقوطه، ما استدعى نقله إلى المستشفى لإجراء عملية جراحية عاجلة.
وفي المستشفى زاره مدير تعليم حائل مطمئنًا على صحته، ومشيدًا بشجاعته التي جنّبت المدرسة كارثة محققة. كما أكدت الأسرة التعليمية أن ما قام به الشمري يجسد قيم التضحية والإخلاص التي يتميز بها المعلّم السعودي، حيث لم يتردد في المخاطرة بنفسه لحماية أبنائه الطلاب.
هذا الموقف الإنساني والوطني رسّخ صورة المعلّم باعتباره أكثر من مجرد ناقل للعلم، بل قدوة في الشجاعة والانتماء، ورمزًا للوفاء الذي يحوّل القيم إلى أفعال تحفظ الأرواح وتصون المجتمع.
The Prince of Hail, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, honored teacher Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Shammari today in recognition of his bravery in saving students and teachers at Hudhayfah bin Al-Yaman School in Hail during a fire that broke out in the electrical meter inside the school.
He praised his heroic stance, which reflected a spirit of responsibility and dedication, expressing his pride in what he had done, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy for Electricity Affairs, Engineer Raed Al-Shunaiber, the Director General of Education in the region, and the Director of the Electricity Department.
Teacher Al-Shammari had taken the initiative last Wednesday morning to extinguish the fire as soon as it broke out, preventing the flames from spreading to the classrooms and ensuring the safety of the students and school staff. During his attempts, he suffered a compound fracture in his hand due to a fall, which required him to be transferred to the hospital for urgent surgery.
At the hospital, the Director of Education in Hail visited him to check on his health, praising his bravery that spared the school from a potential disaster. The educational community also affirmed that what Al-Shammari did embodies the values of sacrifice and dedication that characterize the Saudi teacher, as he did not hesitate to risk his own safety to protect his students.
This humanitarian and national stance reinforced the image of the teacher as more than just a transmitter of knowledge, but as a role model in courage and belonging, and a symbol of loyalty that turns values into actions that preserve lives and safeguard the community.
