انخفضت أسعار الذهب اليوم متأثرة بارتفاع الدولار، رغم تجدد المخاوف حيال استقلالية مجلس الاحتياطي الاتحادي (البنك المركزي الأمريكي).
وتراجع سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية (0.2%) إلى (3384.49) دولار للأوقية (الأونصة)، بعد أن بلغ أعلى مستوى له منذ 11 أغسطس أمس الثلاثاء.
واستقرت العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب تسليم ديسمبر عند (3434.20) دولار.
وارتفع مؤشر الدولار بنحو (0.2%) مقابل سلة من العملات الرئيسية، مما قلل من جاذبية الذهب لحاملي العملات الأخرى.
Gold prices fell today, affected by the rise of the dollar, despite renewed concerns about the independence of the Federal Reserve (the U.S. central bank).
The price of gold in spot transactions decreased by (0.2%) to (3384.49) dollars per ounce, after reaching its highest level since August 11 yesterday, Tuesday.
U.S. gold futures for December delivery remained stable at (3434.20) dollars.
The dollar index rose by about (0.2%) against a basket of major currencies, which reduced the attractiveness of gold for holders of other currencies.
