قاد القدر الشابين حمود جفين السعدي ووليد خشيم السعدي للخروج للمنطقة البرية الواقعة بين محافظتي بيشة وتثليث (٤٠ كيلومتراً جنوب شرق مركز الجنينة)، فتعطلت سيارتهما في الكثبان البرية ولم يتمكنا من إخراجها في وقت تشتد فيه حرارة الشمس وانعدام المياه معهما للشرب فتوفيا عطشاً هناك.
وفي التفاصيل، كما رواها لـ«عكاظ» الدكتور محمد عبيد السعدي (خال وليد)، خرج وليد بصحبة صديقه حمود لتلك المنطقة البرية وتعرضت سيارتهما لعطل وتغريز في منطقة برية تكثر فيها الكثبان الرملية، وأضاف السعدي أن الشابين حاولا إخراج السيارة ولم يتمكنا في وقت تشتد فيه الحرارة وعدم توفر المياه للشرب ما تسبب في وفاتهما عطشاً -رحمهما الله -.
الجهات الرسمية وجمعية «وسم» للإنقاذ باشرت الموقع، حيث تم نقل جثماني الشابين للمستشفى في انتظار الإجراءات الرسمية لدفنهما.
Fate led the two young men, Hamoud Jafeen Al-Saadi and Walid Khashim Al-Saadi, to venture into the wilderness area located between the provinces of Bisha and Tathleeth (40 kilometers southeast of the Al-Jenina center). Their car broke down in the sand dunes, and they were unable to get it out at a time when the sun's heat was intense and they had no water with them to drink, resulting in their death from thirst there.
In detail, as narrated to "Okaz" by Dr. Mohammed Obaid Al-Saadi (Walid's uncle), Walid went out with his friend Hamoud to that wilderness area, and their car broke down and got stuck in a region filled with sand dunes. Al-Saadi added that the two young men tried to get the car out but were unable to do so during a time of extreme heat and lack of drinking water, which led to their death from thirst - may God have mercy on them.
The official authorities and the "Wasem" rescue association responded to the site, where the bodies of the two young men were transported to the hospital awaiting the official procedures for their burial.
