في الوقت الذي دعا فيه الدفاع المدني إلى توخي الحيطة والحذر من أمطار غزيرة على منطقة جازان في محافظاتها كافة، وجريان السيول، شهدت مدينة جيزان والعديد من المحافظات أمطاراً غزيرة اليوم مصحوبة بزوابع رعدية سالت على إثرها العديد من الأودية والشعاب وسط تواجد فرق الدفاع المدني بجوار الأودية لتحذير المارة والزوار والمتنزهين من الجلوس في باطن الأودية لوجود سيول جارفة أثناء هطول الأمطار، وكانت أودية المنطقة قد شهدت اليوم سيولاً كان أبرزها وادي تعشر والمغالية ووادي ليه والقصب وخلب والدحن ووادي جازان وصبيا والعارضة و غيرها من الأودية.
وكانت التوقعات الواردة من المركز الوطني للأرصاد قد أشارت إلى هطول أمطار تشتد غزارتها من اليوم (الخميس) إلى الثلاثاء على منطقة جازان (جيزان - الريث - هروب - الدائر - العيدابي - فيفاء - العارضة - الحرث - صامطة - أحد المسارحة - أبو عريش - الطوال - ضمد - صبيا - بيش - الدرب - فرسان).
While the civil defense has called for caution and vigilance due to heavy rains in all the provinces of the Jazan region and the flow of torrents, the city of Jizan and many provinces experienced heavy rains today accompanied by thunderstorm gusts, which caused many valleys and streams to flow. Civil defense teams were present near the valleys to warn passersby, visitors, and picnickers against sitting in the depths of the valleys due to the presence of torrential floods during the rainfall. The valleys in the region witnessed torrents today, the most notable of which were Wadi Tashar, Al-Maghaliya, Wadi Layh, Al-Qasab, Khallab, Al-Dahan, Wadi Jazan, Sabya, Al-Aridah, and other valleys.
The forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology indicated that heavy rains would intensify from today (Thursday) until Tuesday in the Jazan region (Jizan - Al-Rith - Haroub - Al-Dayer - Al-Eidabi - Faifa - Al-Aridah - Al-Harth - Samta - Al-Ahd Al-Masrah - Abu Arish - Al-Tawal - Dhamad - Sabya - Bish - Al-Darb - Farasan).
