يُنظّم فريق «منارة العُلا»، فعالية فلكية لرصد زخة شهب البرشاويات، في أجواء طبيعية تشتهر بها المحافظة، التي تُعد إحدى أبرز الوجهات المعتمدة عالميًا لمراقبة السماء ضمن مناطق «السماء المظلمة».
وتتيح الفعالية للزوار وعشاق الفلك فرصة متابعة ذروة الشهب، بقيادة مجموعة من الهواة المتخصصين في رصد الظواهر الفلكية، مع إمكانية إحضار التلسكوبات الخاصة للاستمتاع بمشاهدة مباشرة للسماء من موقع الرصد في «حرة العُلا»، فضلًا عن التقاط الصور الفلكية لتوثيق المشهد.
ويأتي تنظيم هذه الفعالية ضمن فعاليات «عجائب سماء العُلا»، التي تشمل العديد من البرامج والأنشطة التي ينفذها فريق «منارة العُلا» على مدار العام، دعمًا لجهود نشر الوعي الفلكي، وتعزيز التجارب السياحية المرتبطة بالسماء والظواهر الكونية التي تتميز بها العُلا.

This event provides visitors and astronomy enthusiasts with the opportunity to follow the peak of the meteor shower, led by a group of amateur astronomers specialized in observing astronomical phenomena, with the option to bring personal telescopes to enjoy live viewing of the sky from the observation site in "Harrat Al-Ula," as well as capturing astrophotography to document the scene.
